Getting to Hoop Dee Doo from Beach Club?

anyone know the best and most efficient way to do this? Will the resort shuttle us if we have tickets? I know when we stayed at Animal Kingdom Villas last year, my husband had a reservation to golf and they had a van that brought him to the golf course and then back to the resort when he was done, and it was free. We have reservations for Hoop Dee Doo one night and I hate the thought of having to bus over to MK and then boat to FW. Or bus to DS and then bus to FW. It is such a waste of valuable vacation time. I suppose we could get a cab. Any suggestions?

that might be a golf thing because if they had a van shuttle every resort guest where they needed to go it would be a nightmare... that's why they have the buses. The thing about HDDR is that even if you take a cab over, you still have to take the internal bus. I planned it on a day when I'm at MK anyway so I can just take the boat over there. I think bus to MK and boat is probably your best bet. no matter how you go it is going to be a 2-part trip.

Bus/boat is the only way to get there by Disney Transport. If you use a taxi or Uber, you still have to take an internal bus from the campground entrance to the Settlement area. Or walk a mile.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I'm aware of the internal bus at FW. We've done Hoop Dee Doo many times. Sometimes we had our car, others we did the Disney transport which took forever. I'm just trying to figure a way to be more efficient with our time. I hate to waste time at Disney.

I've taken mk bus from BC to mk and then boat over to fort wilderness. Worked out fine just leave yourself plenty of time.

You could taxi to the Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge, and then take the Contemporary's or Wilderness Lodge's water launch to Fort Wilderness. That might be the most efficient & scenic method.

You really don't have any other options here. A cab to either FW or Contemporary won't really help other than the wait time for the cab itself.

Yes, that's what I meant. In the late afternoon/evening, you can easily wait 20-30 minutes or more for a bus headed to the Magic Kingdom. You might be lucky & have one arrive within a few minutes, but if the electronic bus board is showing 15 minutes or more, I would just call a cab.

I'd likely just taxi to Ft. Wilderness, though. Their intra-resort buses run more frequently & quickly than the water taxis from MK & the other resorts.
