My nephew is currently a CM at Le Cellier and wants my DH to bring his golf clubs with him ... he gets great rates on green fees later in the day. :goodvibes We are flying and not renting a car. How does DH get to/from the golf course? I'm thinking taxi is the only way ... any idea how much on-site taxi's cost? I have no idea which course they'll be playing, but we're staying at POR. I thought I had heard that Disney will give you taxi vouchers if you're golfing onsite. :confused3 But maybe that's just for those who are paying full green fees and not the CM reduced rate. ;) And how much time should DH allow from the time he gets to Bell Services to order a taxi and his scheduled tee off time?

TIA for your help. :)

Taxi's are available for all on-site guests from their resorts to any Disney Golf Course. Just ask at the Bell Hop desk. They will call a taxi, give your Husband a voucher (to give to the taxi driver), and take him directly to the course. Tip is included in the voucher. When he is done playing, the pro shop of the course will call another taxi to take him back to the resort. It's a VERY easy process; I have done it many times. I would start out one-hour before his tee time - the taxi will be there within minutes, but you need to take into account the traffic/drive, checking in at the course, and a few minutes, if necessary, of warmup. :thumbsup2

I am doing this on my trip and I asked the same question because it had been a really long time since I've golfed at WDW.
As said, Disney will provide the taxi and cost both ways (yet another perk of staying onsite). I'd leave about 1.5 - 2hours before tee time.
For example, I'm playing Osprey Ridge on 10/2 @ 3pm. I figure I'll leave the resort around 1pm which should give me plenty of time to hit some balls and warm up.

Great question!

Thanks so much for all of the information. :goodvibes I will pass along to my DH. We have stayed at the Treehouse Villas and at OKW and he spent those vacations drooling over how nice the courses are and wishing he could play them. He's very excited about finally getting to do this. :)

Lake Buena Vista is closed until Sept 29. I believe that there's two others they are closing to build a new golf resort.
You can also call 407-WDW-GOLF to make reservations up to 60 days in advance.

ENJOY!

Only Eagle Pines is closed :sad1: I missed playing it last year because I was sick  So I ended up butchering Osprey Ridge twice before I realized I was playing from the wrong tees :rolleyes1 . I did much better at Palm and Magnolia :cool1:

Have fun and hit 'em straight!!!!!
