Getting to Fort Wilderness from VWL

Is this difficult to do? Someone told me that the dinner at Trails end was worth the trip. I also remember from my very first trip they would show movies outside and would love to take dd to that. Does anyone know if they still do this? Thanks

It is not difficult to get to FW from WL. There is a walking path that takes about 30 minutes depending upon how fast you walk. You can also take the boat over to FW. If you take the boat, take the boat that goes between WL, FW and Cont. It will be the smaller boat that loads on the left hand side of the dock.

When we were there in Oct. they still did the movies in the evening. You can catch an internal FW bus over to where they have the movie.

You can also take a bus. There was one last week that we repeatedly that was running from the lodge to the fort. You can also ask the bus driver for the parks if he's going there next. Most of our trips to the parks made a stop at fort wilderness first.
