I know the buses don't run between the resorts, but is there a bus at the parks to DTD or do you have to get on a resort bus and transfer?

Trying to finalize my ADR's

TIA

Bus to Saratoga Springs Resort.
From there- walk, bus, or boat to DTD.

The only buses to DTD are from the resorts.

We learned the hard way that there isn't even a bus to DTD from the TTC, even though there are several CMs that think there is.

I've never gone Robo's suggested route, but knowing how horrible the DTD buses are in general (the ones I have taken have all gone to TL before and after running the two DTD stops, which seems to take FOREVER), I would think that going to a resort that has boat access to DTD would be a nice alternative to a bus.

I think POR/POFQ have boat access to DTD also. You could hop on that bus also and take their boat.

Yep....take the bus from the park to SSR. Get off at Congress Park. Walk to the lake and take a left. You can't miss DTD.

The reason they stopped the buses going from DTD to parks and back was people kept parking there to avoid paying for parking at the the parks and also taking up all the parking spaces for people who wanted to shop etc.

Robo you must spend hours doing those maps seriously you must have the patience of a saint. :goodvibes

I was going to get on here today and ask the same question. I didn't know there was a boat from Saratoga Springs.

Does anyone know how long the bus ride is from MK to SSR and how long is the boat ride to DTD?

Or, how long is the bus ride from MK to POFQ and then how long is the boat ride to DTD? (I should hand my head in shame on this one, I've done it a million times when I worked at POFQ, that was several years ago and I don't remember.)

DH and I are going to have ADR's at MK for a late lunch and then we are heading to DTD for the early Cirque and then to Beaches and Cream for desert. I assume we would just catch the bus from DTD to the Beach Club to get to B&C?

Sorry if I thread jacked?

1-how long the bus ride is from MK to SSR and

2-how long is the boat ride to DTD?

3- how long is the bus ride from MK to POFQ and then

4-how long is the boat ride to DTD?

5- I assume we would just catch the bus from DTD to the Beach Club to get to B&C?

1- 12-15 min. once boarded and underway.
2- 6 minutes, but you must wait for the boat to arrive and load.
3- 12-15 min. once boarded and underway.
4- 20-30 minutes, but you must wait for the boat to arrive and load.
A boat departs about every 30 minutes, depending on the time of day.
5- Yes.

No worries about jacking my thread ;)

Think I will just stick w/my original plan and eat at one of the resorts for dinner and then from there I can bus over to DTD, that way I won't be any a hurry to get to DTD for a certain time and just plan a late dinner there on arrival night.

Thanks for your help everyone. :thumbsup2

We are going to MK in the morning then going to DTD for lunch and shopping in the afternoon then to Cape May for dinner. Would it also work to walk or take the monorail to the Contemporary then take a bus to DTD? It won't be a problem coming back because we will just take a bus to the Beach Club from DTD. Also is DTD super crowded on weekends in June?

lol glad we were not the only ones. we went on a lovely tour that day

I have found that taking a cab from the themeparks to DTD is the best option. It could take up to an hour to get from a themepark to DTD, my time at WDW is too precious to burn.

Is this a good option for getting to DTD from Epcot?

From International Gateway, walk over to Boardwalk. (We want to check out the Boardwalk). Then take their bus to DTD. 8pm Raglan Road ADR.

About how long would the bus ride be? And where is the Boardwalk bus stop located???

Thanks for any help on this!

Do you have a guess-stimate of the taxi fare from the diff theme parks? We are going from MK to DTD for dinner at T-rex. I had figured it would be easier to walk to Cont and bus over but I do love to taxi. (Usually we go from the Epcot Area around so I have no idea what stuff costs from MK.)

1- Once boarded, the ride will take about 15 min.
Once you get to DTD, it will be a rather long walk to Raglan Road from the bus stop. Allow 10-20 minutes to make the walk.

Note the Resort Bus Stops, upper right - - to Raglan Road, lower left.

2- Go through the Boardwalk RESORT's entrance lobby (#8 below) and look for the signs for the bus loading.
The bus loading area is to your left as you exit the lobby, and down the covered sidewalk to the road (#21 below.)

Robo, thank you for these wonderful maps! I have printed them out as they will become very useful during our first trip this summer.

 Thanks for the GREAT information! I had no idea the walk would be so long to Raglan Road once we got to DTD. You saved me and my family from sweating at dinner since now I will plan enough time so we don't have to run. You are a good friend to us here on the dis!
