Hello everyone,

Just a newbie to these forums, but what a fantastic idea! Although not sure if this is being posted in the right area...

I am planning to visit Disneyland Paris on the 18th December as part of a short pre-christmas trip for our 1st anniversary, and I'm seeking some expert advice on getting there.

Firstly, we'll be staying in the centre of Paris itself and I was going to purchase a 5 Day (Zones 1-3) metro pass. Will this include the use of getting a train to Disneyland? And if so, can anyone point me in the right direction of which lines to use? If that's not the right ticket, what would you suggest? - is it cheaper to get a return ticket for 2 people on the actual day?

One other thing - for the actual visit to DIP I am planning to purchase in advance a One-day park hopper ticket, which says covers Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios Park . Will this allow us to possibly go on all the rides?

Plus any other tips you may have about our visit - what would be open or closed on the 18th etc.

I know that's a lot of questions, but many thanks in advance for the time you may spend answering them.

All the best,

Mark

I am moving this to the DLParis board for you. :)

Hi Hardiem,
Elaine, Jackie, Elaine and Reid welcome you to the DLP DIS board :)

We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each

I haven't personally travelled from Paris to DLRP, but hopefully other members here will be along soon to answer your questions.

A one-day hopper ticket is all you need to be able to access all the rides at DLRP - however, you should be aware that some of the newer attractions (like Tower of Terror and Crush Coaster in the Studios) may have queues, whatever time of day you are there. Crush doesn't have fastpass either, although Tower of Terror does.

We did this in May and again in October. If you have a Mobilis pass for zones 1-5 you can catch the RER A line. This runs from LaDefence to Chessy. Most people catch the RER at Chatelet-Les-Halles to Chessy, takes about 40 minutes. If you are only using the tickets for your daytrip to DLRP a specific return ticket would be cheaper. You could also check out the carnet of 10 tickets for travel within Ile-de-France area.

what would be open or closed on the 18th etc.

Hi Mark, the only attraction that is listed as closed on the official site for the 18th is Honey, I Shrunk the Audience, although the Storybook ride is often not open in the winter. :)
