Getting to Animal Kingdom from Magic Kingdom or EPCOT

I'm considering popping over to Animal Kingdom for a ride or two before MNSSHP party starts around that 4pm windows.

I don't see how this would be worth it at all, since DAK closes at 5 that day. Why not do DAK first thing that day for a few hours, then hop to MK for the rest of the day and evening?

ETA: I just realized you may have meant October 18, instead of September 18. Both have MNSSHP. On October 18, DAK is only open until 6, but that is a bit better; with the low afternoon crowds you should be able to get a few rides in. I'd still hesitate to transfer over for that short amount of time.

I knew about the 5pm, but I just realized - The main reason I'm doing MK during the day is for FoF at 3... So by the time I would get out of the park after the parade.

I'll probably just stay MK all day so I can do welcome show and RD... and then do the park for the day and then do everything again that night.

My BOG reservation and morning fast passes are already booked and they are all premium.

I see this now! Didn't want to start a new thread if things are already covered, but now I know to ask about what the CURRENT status of things are by starting a new thread and not confusing people (as I was).

On the other hand, you did say it exactly right, for those who read all replies before responding.

"Anybody have an update to how things are now?"

"update" and "now" are key words there. :)
