Getting to and from The Wide World of Sports Complex

My DH is going to need to pick up his marathon packet from The Wide World of Sports complex when we go in January so I was wondering what was the best way to get there from DHS and also the best way to get to the AKLodge for a Jiko reservation from the complex?

With a car - drive yourselves

But I'm guessing you mean using Disney transportation? Bus to DHS, which is the ONLY location where you can get a Wide World of Sports bus. Switch to that, pick up the packet, and board a returning bus.

Once back at the Studios, locate and board the Animal Kingdom Lodge bus (then go inside the resort and down the stairs to Jiko - but you probably aren't asking for such specific instructions )

specific instructions are even better!! Thank you so much I had no idea that the only bus to the complex was to and from DHS

Oh, you're welcome! I was teasing about the 'specific instructions' part - I only meant the directions once you're inside AKL, to get to the restaurant.

Getting to and from the Wide World of Sports complex, you NEED extremely accurate instructions. Most people aren't aware how limited the transportation is!

Actually, it will be much easier than that!

For the marathon/packet pickup/expo, there are busses that will go directly from the resorts to WWOS (and vice versa).

There will be a ton of buses at WW of Sports for the marathon packet pick up. There is no need to go back to DHS to get a resort bus. Just use the buses provided for the marathon.

Have a great time. It is very exciting to see all the logistics of the marathon, and how well they can move that many people.
