Hey there, going to the world on December 5th and had a dilemma. This is our first trip using Disney bus system and also our first trip with our daughter (will be 2).
Heres my question:
We have a character breakfast at Chef Mickey's at 7:30am and then planned on walking to MK after for the 9am opening.

We are staying at POP, how do we get there??
Are there special Character Breakfast buses that early?
Should we take taxi? If so, what about the baby and a car seat (we won't have one)?

Please, anything to help me out. It's been driving me nuts.

Yes there are buses running that early, be at the stop an hour and 15 minutes* in advance. Take either a character bus headed that way or a Magic Kingdom bus whichever comes first.

* Includes some extra time in case the first bus is too full to take you.

THe buses to MK will be running between 6:15-6:30. So, be out at the MK bus stop by 6:30. These buses don't run as frequently as the normal buses do...so if you just miss one, you could face a wait of over 20 mins. Yes, you may very well be early for your ADR..but that's better than stressing about being late.

Taking a cab would cost you approx $20-$22 and will get you there in 10-15 min, and will drop you off right at the entrance, allowing you to sleep an extra hour or so, plus you won't be leaving in the dark.

Enjoy your Breakfast

It would really be worth taking a taxi. We did that for a very early ADR at Chef Mickey's and it really didn't cost that much. The time saved was well worth it.

I recommend taking a taxi....I almost missed a breakfast one time because the bus never showed up...it was around $20.00 for the cab.

What about our daughter in the taxi, we will not have a carseat. Will they allow her to sit in the middle with seat belt on? She will be 22 months at the time

Hi
We are staying at POP right now. We actually just had a 7:35am character breakfast at Chef Mickey's this morning! We got down to the bus stop for Magic Kingdom around 6:15-6:20am this morning. The bus came at exactly 6:40am. We told him that we were going to Chef Mickey's and he brought us right to the Contemporary, It was so easy!!!

Good luck!

Does anyone know who does that taxis at Disney? When we were at Universal last month, Mears had cabs waiting outside of everywhere we went (hotel, SeaWorld etc...) and many of the vans had car seats available in the back. (We always took a van since we were too many for a cab.) I would ask about a carseat. I would not put a 22 month old in just a regular seat belt.
