Getting that Disney Itch!!!

I have it too.
We went as a family in 2005. I would love to go every year if we could! My DH enjoys it but is not a huge fan of Disney. The 2005 plan was in the works for at least two years before we went. So, here I am as I do, lots of days, reading and dreaming though these boards. I would love to make a trip this year, but most likely it will be 2008 or 2009. My DH thinks we should wait till DD is 8, that is four years away! I am just going to have to work on him.

I stayed away from the these boards for awhile, just because the Itch seems to grow stronger the more time you are here. However, I was really having a Disney withdrawal so about a month or two ago, I came back here. I knew that here on the DIS there are like minded souls!

I am trying to just use the DIS to help ease the pain, when in reality, I know that it is only making the ITCH larger!

Hi everyone Well I am addicted as well but the problem I have is two fold I love Disney and would spend every vacation there if I could …. U ask why I can’t why I shouldn’t .. well my dw doesn’t want to dw wants some where different Me I want to do the food and wine party or the flower and garden party but I promised we would go some where different so i find the other proplem I cant do any thing but plan a disney trip I guess dw is going to have to plan this one herself

Oh you poor thing... I wish my DH loved Disney as much as you! DH is the same way, he doesn't mind Disney every once in awhile, but starts to complain saying he wants to do something different. I did talk him into going back in July for our Anniversary though, I have a surprise day with the Richard Petty Experience for him, that should do the trick!!
Maybe there is something else in Orlando your DW is interested in, you could do a split vacation, a couple days in Disney a couple days on something she wants to do??

I can see it now people looking at everyone itching and scratching!
and the only ones that will understand is fellow diser's!
At least besides the lime green Mickey's we'll be able to identify each other!

Got the "itch" a couple of weeks ago. So I threw together a 9 day trip for June for DS 10 and I. We already had a trip on the books for Oct '07. I just couldn't wait for that one.

Yes, it happens to me! You know what's funny though, is we used to go every other year, but recently we've been going a lot more often (and we joined the DVC last year, so this trend is going to continue!) and I don't know how I ever went 2 years without a trip! Unfortuanately for me, I won't be going back until problem December (I know, I am deprived...last time I went was last October)...I just hope everything with student teaching and my friend's wedding works out so I can in fact go!

Lately I've REALLY been wanting to go...my friend is going for the first time with her fiance in a couple weeks, my mom, dad, and sister are going right after Easter, and another friend is going with her high school to Grad Nite! Ahhh, it's not fair! LOL.

I've had the Disney Itch for nearly 20 years. My first and only trip so far was way back in 1987
