Getting Skisney for Disney May 2013 PTR 4/11: Day 1 Plan

My last weigh I was T +1... Ok, so now I am so ready to buckle down, but WOAH!!!! We are booked in a condo this weekend for 4 days of bday celebrations and eating out! I have already put in my time with my trainer so working out is all on me until Monday. And work has gotten busy. My husband and I share a common bday, and father-in-law is 3 days prior. We have reserved fancy dinners out nightly, plus the stress of family (wine, please), girlfriends Friday happy hour bday get-together, girl friends lunch...Ugh! I need a P-L-A-N---set in stone! I am DETERMINED to be T -2 by Monday!!! Just keep swimming!
Plan- water, water, water
---work-out! There is a gym in the hotel, and I can get in a really good run, too. Also a gym at the spa- NO EXCUSE (hold me to it, ladies)
----stock some healthy nibbles in the room- veggies, hummus, etc
------plan ahead- 1 vodka soda at happy hour, no to wine and beer, etc
------ big salads at dinner and a seafood appetizer as my meal (raw oysters, cocktail shrimp, crab claws...)
-----sooooo- I ordered a turtle cake, 6 red velvet cream cheese and fudge-filled cupcakes, and 6 chocolate cupcakes with raspberry filling. Help!!! What's the plan there? Half a cupcake? Run a little more beforehand? I'll take suggestions.

Call me OCD- but I'll check in daily. Seriously- I need all the help I can get!

Hey, I'm at T-1.8 for this week which I think is down .2. I'll take it.
 
So far, so good! I have managed to stick with the plan through ladies happy hour, one fancy dinner, cupcake time, etc. tonight we have our next fancy dinner. The plan is: water, seafood app (ray or steamed oysters with lemon), meal will be a small piece of lean steak or a seafood app as a meal (crab claws or shrimp), side of asparagus with lemon. My hubs ordered some amazing wine which the restaurant will cork, so I will do one glass. Also, I will have a taste of bday cake after dinner. I did an hour on the elliptical today, and an hour yesterday. Will run in the morning.
I know this seems "ad nauseum", but I really feel like if I can just break through this threshold, I will be really on my way. The board is helping me so much in terms of accountability! Thank you all for lending an ear!

We are going July 5th - 20th, staying off site. I too started trying to lose weight a few weeks ago so far down 6 lbs! Good luck to everyone, hopefully we all become "losers".

I had gained a few pounds over the holidays (though since I had lost a pants size!) I am finally back down to my low today!!
 
Trying to get back "on the wagon". Made it up to my 4 am workout this morning! 3 weeks and 3 days til WDW. . .gotta get that walking in gear!!

Hey y'all!

Rough couple weeks here.

I am still at T-8 here but I'm ok with that. I haven't worked out as MUCH as I'd want, but mostly gone 3-5 a week to the Y for classes.

I am at 80 days or so until our trip and I'm getting super excited! I still need to decide what to do about tickets.

Since we will be there a potential 8 days, I can't imagine that we "need" park hoppers... and we are planning to take at least one pool/DTD non-park day, so I'm thinking we need 7 day base tickets. It's a little over $1100 for the 4 of us for 7 day base tickets...

I spent over an hour on the phone with a CM the other day trying to get the cost of adding tickets and/or dining plan. There is no CM rate discount but it took her an hour to tell me that and she never WAS able to get the ticket price for me. :confused3

It's getting closer and closer. I want to do some fun treats for the kids. I bought DS (8) a Perry shirt and DD (7) a mickey & minnie shirt, and I purchased a lot of 25 pins from mousepinsonline.com (that DD found while she had the flu last week and asked about - I just told her they were mine, none of her business...) Other thoughts? My kids will turn 8 & 9 just after our trip, so they are not "littles" and won't go for the whole "Mickey/Tinkerbell left this in your room last night" - well, DD might... but I want to still do some magic!
 
How about autograph book, picture frame mat or something in that order. If you're attending MNSSHP maybe a special bag or bucket for trick or treating. I made a busy book all about WDW with games and puzzles and pages from each park and restaurant that had fill ins like your favorite food, favorite character, a place for pics, Put it all in a binder. Maybe a disposible camera so they can take their own pics. Just a few thoughts. Hope they help.

Weigh in day - and I'm a little disappointed.........still at -21.2 No loss this week, but that's ok. I have managed to get in 4 days of circuit training and you can really see the difference in my body after almost 9 weeks of watching what I eat and working out! So I am hoping that my fat is just turning to fit :lmao: I have lost 4 inches off my waist, 2 inches off my thighs and 2 off my arms! For the first time in a long time I have biceps - and as long as you keep your eyes on the upper part of my arm you don't notice my wings:rotfl2:

65 days until our trip :beach: We cannot wait!

But I guess that will give me some time to get these lbs off.

I'm hosting my son's (now he'll be DS4:sad:) birthday party at home tomorrow so I've been MEGA busy. I'm planning on some good DIS time Sunday plus I finally have a camera charger so I can take and post some photos.
 
I do not even want to weigh in tomorrow- SOOOO far "off that wagon"! I can't even see the wagon anymore! Lol!!
4 weeks until the cruise. I am still motivated to lose a few before we sail! Hey, anything is possible! Where is a fairy godmother when you need one!
 
So, I'm just going about my daily life, being the crazy busy mother of 3 that I am and I realize....
We are in double digits already!! Not only are we in double digits, but we only have 73 days until we leave.:cool1: Wha?!! By this time, I am in the throes of planning. Having involved big kids and maybe being a lot more familiar with Disney has kept me from having time or needing to plan so much, I guess.
I have all my ADRs made. I finally made my Sanaa ressie this weekend and also made a big payment on the trip. I've also managed to stop by the Disney store a few times...it is about 45 minutes away and my son had some soccer tournaments near the outlet mall where it is, so we made a stop in between games. Since it's an outlet, they had a shipment in from Disneyland with a really good clearance. We made a few little finds...

DS8 is pumped about trading pins. We have been looking online at the different sets and trying to research pin etiquette. We've trading 2 or 3 times in all the times we've been to Disney, but we've never very many to start with. I know the CMs have to trade, but that's about it as far as pin etiquette goes:confused3...any tips?

That princess autograph book we bought 2 years ago at the Disney outlet for about $5. Sure, it says Disneyland on it but no biggie for us. DD9 is reserving it for female characters only. She got a few last time but still needs Mulan, Alice in Wonderland, Pocahontas, Ariel, Rapunzel, Jasmine and Tiana.

And I AM coaching softball (we're doing coach pitch and if you think it isn't exercise to catch the throws of an 8-year-old catcher, you are sorely mistaken).

I have been out of pocket this past week or so because I have been in court and trials every day since 2/28...


I am happy to report that after back and forth since 1/15, I have *finally* lost TEN POUNDS!!!!!

So I am T ~10. Phew. I haven't worked out much this past week either because I had a nasty cold but I am back at it tomorrow.

Getting super excited about our trip. Almost to the 60 day mark! Crunch time!
