Getting Skisney for Disney May 2013 PTR 4/11: Day 1 Plan

Wow, Kayla! You were lovely before, but your just getting prettier! You are an inspiration. You just reminded me that sometimes the scale and the numbers can get a little old. But a good picture is always inspiring. I'll have to find a before picture and take the occasional after picture as I go along. I'm sure it would be extra motivation if I can see the the improvements in the flesh...

I was just popping in to mention that I was not a good girl last week. I didn't have time to work out and have no loss to report. But, I've decided to go back to the "record every bite that enters my mouth" method of eating and I'm going to get back on the exercise this week. So, hopefully I'll be moving on down by next week.

Good Luck everyone and keep up the good work!!!

Thanks :) I really was starting to get unmotivated because I haven't been able to lose a freakin' pound for about 8 weeks though I have dropped a pants size (I must be getting muscles!) but when I look at these pictures it really makes me want to go to the gym and follow with something healthy to eat haha

Kayla- such a beautiful girl! I agree that you are even more photogenic in the second shot, and that great smile! Well done!
Indimom- I feel your pain!!!! I have also been working at it for about 6 weeks, no weight loss per se, and down a dress size. I know that if I get back to my food journal, it will all fall into place. 6 weeks to go until our cruise. Also booking another one today for 12/2014. I love to envision where I could be in terms of fitness by then!

Good Luck! I'd be happy with a dress size. I just started so I'm not really seeing anything yet. But, I did start my food journal and can already tell I'm eating better so hopefully I'll have good news to report on Wednesday when I weigh in!

It's weigh in day! T-21.2!Finally broke the plateau with a -2 loss this week. Feeling great and motivated to keep at it. Off to resistance training at lunch time today. 72 days until our trip where will I be by then??

Good job to all the losers! I stayed the same.

Hope everyone is having a great week. I'm just counting down the days till I get back to my happy place. 214 to go.

Keep on swimming

Denise

It's not my weigh-in day but I woke up with new inspiration yesterday. I finally tracked all my calories (1223) and I also walked 2 miles during my son's soccer practice.:woohoo: The scale is much nicer!

I've got lots to comment on and I've got to update our roll call so I'll be doing that throughout the day. I was out of town all weekend and Monday.

Good Going! I'm doing the same (tracking calories) and I'm sure it will help keep my mind in the game! Yeah, for the long walk....it's sooo cold here, I keep wimping out. I hate the cold. I belong in Florida. :beach:

Thanks :) Seeing yourself in the mirror everyday you don't realize just how much you change until you look at the differences side by side!!
And what a difference! You look absolutely GAWGEOUS!!

Everybody needs an off-week every now and again. What is so crazy about keeping up with your food is that you lose weight without even trying that hard just because you're more AWARE of what you're putting in your mouth.

Exactly my thoughts about that food journal. I use Spark as my journal. That working out will be great if you are going on any of those excursions. I think down a dress size is better than losing even five pounds because that means your body is really showing your efforts even if the scale is saying something else.

I was getting pretty hyped for Thursday last night waiting to see if you would crack 20...

Okay, I'm back on the board.

T-4.6
Oh yeah, oh yeah!!:woohoo:

And there it is!! Yippee!! At the rate you're going you could be down another 20 by then!!

My last weigh I was T +1... Ok, so now I am so ready to buckle down, but WOAH!!!! We are booked in a condo this weekend for 4 days of bday celebrations and eating out! I have already put in my time with my trainer so working out is all on me until Monday. And work has gotten busy. My husband and I share a common bday, and father-in-law is 3 days prior. We have reserved fancy dinners out nightly, plus the stress of family (wine, please), girlfriends Friday happy hour bday get-together, girl friends lunch...Ugh! I need a P-L-A-N---set in stone! I am DETERMINED to be T -2 by Monday!!! Just keep swimming!
Plan- water, water, water
---work-out! There is a gym in the hotel, and I can get in a really good run, too. Also a gym at the spa- NO EXCUSE (hold me to it, ladies)
----stock some healthy nibbles in the room- veggies, hummus, etc
------plan ahead- 1 vodka soda at happy hour, no to wine and beer, etc
------ big salads at dinner and a seafood appetizer as my meal (raw oysters, cocktail shrimp, crab claws...)
-----sooooo- I ordered a turtle cake, 6 red velvet cream cheese and fudge-filled cupcakes, and 6 chocolate cupcakes with raspberry filling. Help!!! What's the plan there? Half a cupcake? Run a little more beforehand? I'll take suggestions.
I can do it!
Call me OCD- but I'll check in daily. Seriously- I need all the help I can get!
Thanks, guys, for the continued inspiration and motivation!

YES YOU CAN! Don't stress over it, just make the best choices you can. Stick with salad and grilled seafood. And when it comes to dessert remember...
"Nothing tastes as good as the first bite." Have one bite on the plate and maybe divide it into a couple of smaller bites. Birthay cakes have no calories, hehehehe.

Enjoy yourself and we're here for you if you need more inspiration. I just put up a recent picture of Paula Deen and DH. If she can do it so can we.

Keep on swimming....

Denise
