Getting Ship Shape for SSMC06

Down 2 lbs for this week. This was the hardest week, trying to get back in the swing of things from the trip. My total loss is 23 lbs since Jan 30. Now on to my next goal of 40 total lbs. (I'm trying to keep my goals at the 20 lb increment because I don't want to scare myself thinking about what I really need to loose!)

At Deanna's soccer practice on Wednesday I found out that one of the other mom's is doing a hospital weight loss plan. We've decided instead of sitting on the bench talking while the girls practice, we will walk. There is a really nice path at this park, so at least I will get some more exercise in.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I was unable to go to WW last week but went this morning and lost another 2.8 pounds. I was really surprised by this since things here have been stressful and it's been difficult to stay on program.

Tom was in the hospital for 7 days and I was trying to work every morning so that I could head to the hospital in the afternoon and I would stay there until 9pm or 10pm every night.

I tried to pack water, fruits and snacks with me so that I wasn't eating cafeteria food. Tom came home this week and was on bed rest. He has been extremely weak and is on a soft diet but every day he feels a little better.

I am going to try to get back on track this week. I have to go grocery shopping in the morning so I'll have fruits and veggies in the house. I probably won't have time to go to the gym much but will commit to riding my exercise bike.

Good luck everyone!

Ok guys! I see that we abandoned this thread for a while, but I'm making a committment to get back to it. I'm up this morning to do some exercise before everyone gets up.

I am only going to weigh myself once a month (on the 1st) to track my progress, then I'm hoping that I don't get obsessed with the numbers.

My new motto is:

I can do ANYTHING for 30 days!!!

Glad to see you revived this thread Amy! I really need to get back on track, but it's so hard after coming back from our trip. Maybe this will be the added push I need!

I like your motto!

I'm glad to see this thread back too. Dana has started doing Body for Life so we're trying some of that plan while she's home. So far, it's okay. I've also recommited to getting on the treadmill at least 3 times a week, plus I just found out that water aerobics starts at our local pool on Monday!
