Getting Ship Shape for SSMC06

Mary, love your set up on the treadmill!! What's more, I noticed that we have the same remote (the black on). You could probably start a little business of your own making those for us DISer's! (like you have time.... :lmao: )

for telling me about this thread. Count me in!

Mary - I love the computer system you have with your treadmill. My treadmill is currently in the garage because Tom said if I'm not going to use it, it's not going to stay in the living room anymore. Maybe I'll get him to build a laptop holder so I can still be online while exercising. Oh, I also requested a sample from the lemon website. I normally drink Diet Caffeine Free Coke when I'm at home or Diet Coke with Lemon when eating out. I know the DCFC is considered ok for WW but I don't drink enough water so I'm going to try cutting out the soda.

I told Tom the other day that I am joining WW again! I really need to do something. Tom even said he would do it with me if I want. That way, we are both eating healthier.

What's the difference between WW Online and the classes (other than not having to leave your house). Do you really stay focused without attending meetings each week?

I am going to start with saying I want to lose 25 pounds. Of course I'd like to lose more than that but I'm going to start small and work my way up. I know once I get motivated and stick with it that I can do this. I know it's too late for the February challenge but I'll have to get into something.

Weigh in Day. Down 2.5 for a total of 16.5.

Annmarie, as far as attending ww meetings, I'm not. I am following the ww program and haven't had a problem with not attending the meetings. Any type of loss motivates me to keep going, and having my DIS friends doing the samething is a big motivation. Of course, the horrible time I had keeping up with my dh and dd at WDW last December was a big motivator also.

I started Jan 30 and was going to follow a Denise Austin program, but found I'm really comfortable with WW and the ease of their program. I also didn't set any goals for this month, but I will set some for March. I did join in the Easter Challenage and set a 12 pound loss by Easter, of course I have plenty more after that so I will see what new Challenages the Wish board comes up with.

Mary is doing the ww online program. I'm not real sure how it works or if they allow you to attend store front meetings along with the online program. I'm sure Mary will be able to shed some light on this subject for you.

Here's to those 25 lbs coming off quickly :cheer2: We'll be here to help you out!

Annmarie - welcome! I have been doing WW online for a couple of years. It worked great at first and lost 25 lbs. Then life got a little crazy and I slid and gained them back over the next 2 years. Now I've been back on full time since Mid-January and doing well. My progress has been slow but steady. I've never been to a WW meeting and I don't think that being online lets you go to one without a separate charge.

Gail - your loss has been amazing. Great job! You are my idol!

I'm down another pound. Was hoping for 1.5 to meet my February challenge but I'm happy for 4.5 I did. Also stayed out of the kitchen all month and also met my exercise challenge so I'm happy.

I signed up for the Easter challenge as well for 10 pounds.

Hey gang!

Well, I had set a goal of reaching a specific weight by February 26th, and I reached it! Yay!!! :yay: I have an ultimate goal, but I've broken it down into 5 pound increments, and I have now "officially" met my first goal. The little goals help to keep me more motivated.

I do Weight Watchers online, as well, and I really like it. I didn't like the meetings - I could never find a group that I had anything in common with. With you guys, I feel that I have the best of both worlds: I get the WW information from my trusty computer, and I get the friendship/encouragement/accountability from all of you! And I know that I have lots in common with you WONDERful ladies!!! :sail: ::MickeyMo

Congratulations to all who have been sticking with it! :cheer2:

Mary - Way cool set-up! With something like that, I may even be able to get Curt to excercise!!! :jumping3:

Congrats Mary! :cheer2:

I don't remember how much I was last week compared to this week, but for February I'm down 9 lbs. I'm really hoping with these new meds the doc gave me, I can do better in March. :cheer2:

Congratulations Mary and Diana! :cheer2:

Congratulations to Mary & Diana on your losses! Keep it up!

I'm back on the treadmill this morning!

Yesterday was a good day. Did both the treadmill in the morning and WATP at night. Feeling good and back on the treadmill this morning.

Okay! Well, I took a vacation day today - I have 438 vacation hours and stop accruing at 440 so I decided to take a day off and make it a day for me. I joined WW, got my hair cut and bought a new scale. BTW, Walmart sells a WW scale. Tom and I also went grocery shopping since he will be doing this with me. I joined the gym at my office. I plan to take an exercise break at least three times next week.

I decided to join the class but will most likely switch to the online program. I need to check out some of the other threads within WISH since I'm to this site (don't know why I never came here before) but I'm glad there are so many fellow cruisers participating. Thanks for your support! I'm going to need it!

Yuck. Last week was not a successful weight loss week. It was, however, a successful weight gain week. <Sigh> :sad2:

Ok, I haven't been that good lately, but I'm down a half a pound. I guess that's better than nothing.

I'm down 2 1/2 this week :faint: for a total of 11 lbs! :yay:

Amy-- a half a pound is a half a pound! :cheer2:

1 Pound this week - total 17.5.

We had John's brother's wedding on Friday and went to Disney on Ice on Saturday. Friday morning I weighed myself to see how bad Friday/Saturday were going to be. Friday morning I was down 2.5 for the week. OK, Filet Migon, Chicken and really good mashed potatos and an open bar for the wedding was part of the down fall and then a pretzel and a whole bag of roasted almonds on Saturday night. Do you know how good those almonds smelled and they tasted just as good too! All in all, it cost me 1.5 lbs but I was back on track Sunday morning!

Karen always remember you can begin fresh today! Good Luck! :cheer2:

Amy Congratulations on the half pound :cheer2:

Congratulations Diana 2.5 is GREAT! :cheer2:

Gail - Thank you for the encouragement! :goodvibes I kinda needed to hear that from somebody (as sad as that is...). The last several days have not been healthful days for me. My bloodsugars are all over the map, as well, which is not like me at all. (I'm a Type 1 Diabetic, by the way. If you look at the picture in Curt's signature, you can see my insulin pump.) Hopefully I'll be able to shake this self-defeating attitude soon! :guilty:

Thanks again!

Karen - :grouphug:

Last week wasn't a very good one for me either. Some bad food choices (ok well not bad when I was eating them but you know what I mean). No regrets - just a bump in the road. Back on the treadmill and trying again this week.

Nice to have the support of this group!
Great job to all the losers this past week!

Keep going Mary! Sometimes you just have to have the "good" stuff.

Last week you mentioned about these carmel/chocolate bars. Are they a WW product? Our stores carry a good amount of the dinners, but they only carry the cheesecake & mississppi mud pie and a couple of different ice cream bars. I went to the WW website and saw they have Whitman candy (kind of like a turtle) is that what you were talking about?

Thanks, Mary! :sunny:

If I don't get my butt in gear (literally and figuratively) soon, I won't hit my next mini-goal. And if I don't hit my next mini-goal, I'm afraid that I'll lose all my motivation. :guilty:
