Anyone have suggestions for getting rid of silver marks in a white sink. Mostly are from pots hitting sides of sinks...try to be sooo careful, better half, not so much!!!!!!! I have tried everything and have had no luck. HELP! or am I just stuck with them?........wish my magic wand wasn't broken!!!!!!

I use Bon Ami on my white sink. You can find it in the store by the Comet and other abrasive cleansers. Bon Ami is NOT abrasive so will not scratch your pretty sink :) Every once in a while a stain appears (usually from juice or coffee/tea) and I just drip a little bleach on the spot.

soft scrub and a little pressure let it sit for a couple of minutes and all the stains will go away too:wizard:

Bar Keepers friend works great

Wet it and use a little scouring powder.

Second the Bon Ami, Use it on my cream colored sink, works great and is cheap. have used it for 17 years on this sink.

I occassionally just fill up my sink with hot water, pour in some Oxyclean and let it sit for a while. After that I just rinse and it looks great.

I just put in a white sink because I was so tired of trying to get the stainless one to look nice. Between water spots and small rust spots I just couldn't take it.
So I put in a double sink, white porcelain. I got sink mast for it but today I was scrubbing my stove parts and kept bumping the sink. It is a mess. I used some soft scrub and they came out but I think I don't like this sink. Way more maintanance than I thought. I don't remember my parents old sinks getting so messed up.
I also don't like the double sink. Each side is too small, only 14X16 each. Oh well, we learn from our mistakes

I use Soft Scrub about once a week on mine and it works great. I wet it alittle, scrub it in and let it sit for a few and rise.

We had a white sink before the fire, we put in stainless steel after. I love my SS sink!!! I got the one with 1 side larger then the other and man, it's awesome. LOL But, to the question at hand, I used a Mr Clean stain eraser when we had the white sink, I still use it on my bathroom sinks about once every 3 or 4 months, it works like a charm!

Fill with water, add bleach. After 30 min. rinse. In between times I use Mr Clean sponge and comet

When we moved to the house we have now we thought we'd love the sink in the kitchen. One side is larger than the other and it's a cream colored extra deep sink. I HATE this thing. It shows every single stain, every time I wash my baking pans....(daily) it leaves markes on my sink. Magic Eraser doesn't get them out without some major elbow grease, which gets old when you're doing it daily. I'll be so glad when we can go back with a stainless sink....funny though as I hated the one we had in our first home, I just knew I'd want a pretty sink one day....I didn't know what I had :)

Thanks for the ideas. Yes, love my kitchen sink, the white goes with everything else we've done in the kitchen, can't imagine what it would look like in there if it were not white...but it is a pain in the neck!!!!
I have tried bleach, magic eraser, non abrasive scouring products. They take out the everyday things like tea, coffee, red onion, tomato sauce, etc....as you people with white sinks well know, everything leaves a stain on them. I always just spray the sink when I am done with Chlorox clean up spray and just leave it and all of those things disappear......have given up so much elbow grease on these silver ones, mostly caused by bumping the walls with the pans no matter how careful you are. I will try the Bar Keepers Friend, and the Oxyclean....those I have not tried yet. Thanks again for the suggestions.
