Getting Ready for our July Trips to the World

GRR for seperation anxiety!

Today was an aqua zumba class that I was looking forward to, so I took YDD to hourly care in the gym and then went to change into my swimsuit. I was 20 minutes into the class when I got a page to come to child care. I get there and apparently YDD has done nothing but cry and scream the entire time I was in there! I seriously need to work out but she's not letting me:mad: I went ahead and picked up the class schedule for May and it turns out this class (which I was enjoying btw) is now rescheduled for Friday nights yet another :headache: I work out in the mornings after my older 2 DD's go to school...so now I have to find someone to watch all 3 so I can go to this class.

That sucks. I hope you can find someone to watch the kids.

Okay, I always hate to set goals because I am terrible at sticking to things.

But, I am going to post one. I'll be embarrassed if I can't at least attempt to reach this since I am posting it to the net. :)

I would like to lose at least 10 lbs. for our early July trip.

I definitely need to lose more than that... but that is a goal, and a start. :)

BTW, my real name is Amy, for those of you who like to be a little more "personal." :goodvibes

Setting small goals is great. When you set a big goal sometimes it seems to far out of reach.

What exactly is aqua zumba? That sounds a bit fascinating.

I hope you are able to go as well!

Have a phone meeting at 5:30 (in 1/2 hr.) then going to take a little walk. It is beautiful outside (after all the storms!).

It is gorgeous today - but windy here. We are in Pittsburgh -- what part of PA are you from?

I did make it to the gym again, did a combination of cardio - 15 minutes on the bike, 20 minutes on the treadmill, and 15 minutes on the Elliptical - also did some weight training. I have been doing intervals on the treadmill of walking and running. Now I just need to lose my appetite!

I didn't work out today. I ate cream of crab soup for lunch at work today. I will be the blonde with bowling pin legs.

I am in Berwick, PA. *waits for the crickets to chirp* Most people who are not from within say... 15 min. don't know where that is. lol. Basically, from Pittsburgh, get on I-80 and drive 4 hours east. Tada! You are at Berwick. :rotfl:

Ihave a friend that lives in Dallas, PA.......sorta close to you......

I'm going to join you guys, if that's okay :) I can't do a whole lot, but I am going to physical therapy a few times a week and doing the treadmill there for 20 or so minutes and a lot of stretching, so if I add walking at home to that, hopefully that'll do something. My back and feet are going insane with weird burning, cranky(lol) pains and they are trying to figure out what the problem is!

I do want to try and get myself into good walking order for WDW, though. I hated that we had to keep stopping because of me last time we were there.

I think walking is one of the best things you can do anyway - if you keep it up over the next two months you should be in great shape to conquer the parks!

Welcome!!!

That sounds yummy

No workout yesterday or today. I came home with a headache last night. On the up side, I did eat pretty well and stayed within my point allotment.

Good job on keeping within your points! I did not work out today either. The community center fitness area was closed for some type of big cleaning today. So, I took today as my day off. Still need to work on the evening snacking......

I'm Caroline and I have to add myself to the 'I didn't work out today' crowd :) I did a lot of cleaning, does that count for anything?

I'd like to lose at least 10 pounds by July. I was really hoping for 20, but I don't want to set an unreachable goal for myself. I also do the wii fit when I can. I don't know how good it really is, but it has to be better than just sitting on the couch. Anyone else do that?

I just got a coupon in my email from WW for lifetime members (not that you'd ever know I was one by looking at me!) that you can go to a free meeting between now and Monday to check out the new program. All you have to do is bring the coupon with you. I may try to take it and go to a meeting tomorrow morning or Sunday morning.

:rotfl: I love your comment about the "I didn't work out today crowd" It seems like 10 lbs is the magical number - I too, would like to lose more but do not want to be unrealistic. Although, 10 is sounding unrealistic as I look at the scale. I do Wii Fit too - I think the hula hoop is great - I think the key is to do whatever causes you to break a sweat. It definitely can't hurt!

:wave2: Hell my name is Michelle and
I should set a goal to loose about 20lbs:confused: but I just want to get in shape for all the walking in Disney.

We did go for a walk today about 3 miles, but with the kids we don't really work up a sweat:lmao:

Hey everyone :) I am joining in!

We are headed to WDW July 5th-11th.

I've been doing the WWer/gym thing, well on and off for years LOL But just recently recommitted on April 1st ... I am only weighing in on the first Friday of each month though, so my first weigh in is May 6th! I am excited to see how I did...

I have a lot of weight to lose and am hoping to just stick to the plan until we head to Disney... the plan being, follow WWers and go to the gym haha! No real goals as far as weight loss ... I just want to be in better shape then, than I am now ... I want to be able to do more with my family and in a better place physically.

For as overweight as I am, I can hang pretty well at WDW, but I know the more I move/train now, then the more I will be able to do there!

My gym schedule has been pretty intense the last few weeks ... right now I am a SAHM and my husband is deployed, so that equals lots of time for me to work out ... we belong to the YMCA and they have AWESOME childcare that my kids both love, so it makes it easy for me to go ... currently I do 2-3 spin classes, 1-2 zumba classes, 1 treadmill day and three days of weights. I typically am at the gym M, W, Th, F, Sa with Tu and Su as my off days. Some weeks things get jumbled up but I try for those days. With summer around the corner, we will be at the gym pool a lot too.

Anyway, sorry for the l o n g winded intro ... but HI and I look forward to getting to know you all :)

Walking is good practice for Disney!

I hate the treadmill with a passion but I am making myself walk on it once a week to build up the endurance for walking ... I guess I will eventually walk outdoors too, but it is hard with the kiddos and the daggone heat here LOL

Hi! At least you get to the gym! I don't belong to a gym, but I wouldn't go if I did, so it's all good :rotfl2::rotfl2: I no longer care about losing weight or getting in great shape before I leave. I just want to be able to walk all day without a) holding my family up too much or b)ending up having to do some of it in a wheelchair (been there, hated it)

Next week I have family coming from overseas and they love to shop. At the outlet malls .... the ones that are outdoors and involve mega walking. That is 2 days worth of plans, if not more. We are tentatively also planning a bus tri p to Atlantic City, which would involve a day of walking around. But the sad thing about all this is I live about 7 miles from the beach and could just go walk down on the boardwalk when it's nice enough. I just need motivation. I even have a rl friend willing to go with me :rolleyes1

I'll get there.

Welcome! You are very lucky to have all the classes! Wow - sounds like a great place to workout and you have a great schedule.

Motivation is the hard part. I am glad I went to the gym, but I hate going......

I do feel very lucky to have such an awesome YMCA by us! We used to belong to another gym years ago but the classes were not as good and the child care was a bit scary ;) The YMCA is so family friendly! I love it there! I just need to make sure to stay on my plan LOL I 'fall off the wagon' and it just gets bad.

Today is a no workout day but I did a double workout yesterday to make up for it ... an old friend is having her first baby and I am taking her maternity photos! I am excited!

Tomorrow I hope to either get to the pool or get to the park with the kiddos, just for fun :)
