Getting Qualified and Disneyfied! March 2015 PTR

Following! We will be at POR the same week.

YAY! Welcome! We have friends that are staying at POR that same week- so we MIGHT try and get over there at some point. I wish we were staying at POR, but I'm trying to keep this trip on a budget! LOL

He certainly does. And the touring plans have been tested and seem to be proven right. The way I am looking at it is this... I am putting in the planning to the minute now so that I can gauge just how much can be accomplished before the hard line must leave the park for break point. Once we are there we aren't going to stick to heavily to the schedule and will use it more of a check list then a schedule.

See, the early afternoon is when we are typically taking naps and then I have to pray the girls wake up in time to use FP's in the late afternoon.

Yeah, we aren't really afternoon break people so that's what works for us. Maybe right before lunch for you guys? Give yourselves a couple of hours to tour before being scheduled?

So, okay. Here's my plans. So far. Completely subject and ready to be changed. LOL

Sunday- Magic Kingdom

• Barnstormer
• Peter Pan's Flight
• 7DMT

We fly in this day. So, I'm not exactly sure how much time we will actually want to spend in the park, because... well. Corey and I will have been up since 4 in the morning. Our flight SHOULD put us at MCO by 10:45, but then give another hour to get to the resort and lunch time... I'm thinking we will be napping around 12:30? If my kids only take a two hour nap, that could put us in the parks by 3:30? My plan is MK, and I KNOW that EasyWDW says no MK this day. But I am sorry. I just can't NOT go to MK first. It's just wrong. LOL I'm thinking I will start making FP's around 4:30 though... just in case. I have a feeling we will just hang out in Fantasyland, so I'm just going to make all of our FP's in that area. I want us to do Barnstormer BEFORE 7DMT, only because I want to remind my girls how much FUN roller coasters are. My oldest sometimes likes to forget that she loves them. LOL We will likely also hit IASM, Dumbo and the Tea Cups- but without a FP. No table service meals this day.

Monday- EPCOT

• Soarin'
• The Seas/Nemo
• Journy into Imagination

Okay, so this is the place where FP's SUCK. I really hate that I can't get a FP for both Soarin' and Test Track. We will likely head straight to Test Track and ride that first and then see how the rest of the morning will go. We have never actually done the Figment ride, so I figure since we have crap for the Tier 2 FP's we could use it for Figment? I dunno. We have dinner reservations at 5:45.

Tuesday- Hollywood Studios

• Toy Story Mania
• Star Tours
• Frozen? Disney Junior? Not sure...

I'm so over Frozen, but I know my girls would LOVE to go to the singalong, so we will try it. We have an early breakfast at Hollywood and Vine, so the rest of the morning will be filled with our FPs. If we decide to come back to HS after nap, it would basically be to watch Fantasmic... but the jury is still out on that. How loud is it? My youngest is very sensitive to loud sounds. I'm going to bring some earplugs for her to use... Gotta try them out and see if she will let me put them in.

Wednesday- Magic Kingdom

• Anna and Elsa
• Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
• Pirates of the Caribean

Since we will do the singalong the day before, I figure we better go see our favorite Princesses again. LOL. I hate to waste a FP on a character- I like to book meals for that!- I think E&A are worth it. I need to check the height on BTMR and see if the little one is big enough for that, but if she's not- she can hang out in the play place under the bridge while we ride. I'm really hoping my oldest doesn't want to Splash Mtn. It was closed last trip so I avoided it. Probably won't be so lucky again. And I LOVE POC. We have Crystal Palace for breakfast this morning. It's new for us! I'm excited to try it.

Thursday- Animal Kingdom

• Kilimanjaro Safaris
• Festival of the Lion King? It's Tough to be a Bug!?
• Kali River Rapids

This is the day that we are meeting up with our friends! We have early breakfast Ressies at Tusker house. I want to do the Safari pretty early, since it's better with the animals. Kali River Rapids- does anyone else worry about booking that and then the weather being yucky that day? Just me? Another thing, is that I LOVE Dinosaur and Everest- but my kids don't. Sigh. Well, Cortlyn doesn't. Everest was too dark and the Yeti scared her. Catie might end up LOVING rides like this though. Gotta see if she tall enough. We are still working on this day though... so who knows.

Friday- Magic Kingdom

• 7dmt
• Enchanted Tales with Belle? Winnie the Pooh?
• Under the Sea

This is our 3rd day here. So, basically, this could all change! LOL We have Kona for Breakfast (which is leaning VERY closely to CANCELING and booking 1900 Park Fare for Breakfast!) and then 1900 Park Fare for dinner with Cinderella and the Tremains!

Saturday- ??
I'm leaving this day kinda open. Our flight doesn't leave until 4, so we could have another morning in the parks or we could just go to DTD. We'll see.

What do you think of my plans and ideas so far?

Our plans sound very similar. Especially our HS and AK days.

I believe that BTMR height requirement is 40", not sure about everest though.

Your girls are so cute!

Your fastpass plans look great. It is good to have a couple of days in MK so you can have a few extra there. I would go with Enchanted tales with Belle over Winnie the Pooh as the line there seems to move so slowly. I would also choose Festival of the Lion King over it's tough to be a bug, but I haven't done the bugs in a few years and don't really remember what the line is like.

I'm one of those people who longs for the original Journey into Imagination, but by kids really like the current one so we do it every trip.

I wish I had some better reason for not updating this yet! I want to share all about my FP's and that sort of thing, but I have been super busy working on the Magical Distractions site and laying around my house being lazy. I think not having a job is making me just be flat LAZY. I need to create a schedule for myself! These are my goals over the next few weeks.

1. To be more ACTIVE! OMG! I will not be ready for walking miles and miles in Disney if I'm just sitting on my butt all day! LOL

2. To Catch up on the Dis! Some of you have PTR's that I need to catch up on- so just slow down! I will be back- I swear!

3. Start blogging on my personal blog again. It's been a while and I enjoy writing about things. I just need to DO IT!

4. Oh yeah... FIND A JOB! LOL I just graduated from Cosmo school (not sure if I already covered this or not... so if I'm repeating myself, I'm SORRY!) and I thought I had a job all lined up until TWO days before I was suppose to go in for technical review and paperwork. The manager of the salon called and told me that they were closing the salon and it was total shock to her. She had NO idea it was coming. I've been super bummed and upset about it. I'm honestly, a little worried about taking this trip now that I don't have a steady job lined up, but the trip is already paid for- so where ever I work will just have to deal with it at this point.

I hear ya! I have been trying to get more active in preparation for our trip. Right now I am at 1.5-2.0 miles a day. That is not going to cut it at WDW!

Thank you ALL for the pixie dust about a job! I did feel very bad for the manager. She was in shock that this had happened. I hate that I won't have the chance to work with her. I think I have something lined up now, just got to work out some kinks! Stay tuned!
