One of my cats peed on my suitcase. Is there anyway to get it out? I used some cat stain remover stuff but that didn't work at all. Am I going to have to throw the suitcase away? TIA

Our cat peed in our suitcase once....it was filled with clothes! I think she thought it was a big litter box.... anyway we had to throw everything out..suitcase and all....that odor is impossible to get rid of.... :sad2:

I do feel for you, with all the things that I have used I would say go get you another one. I hope someone else can help.

Never found anything to get rid of THAT smell.

Good luck, though!

So far the best I have found is fabrezze for pets and then washing it. (and putting some in the wash.)

OMG! And I thought it was bad when Spider peed under the Christmas tree! :rotfl:

My dog had an accident and I researched what to use cause NOTHING I tried worked and found this. I couldnt wait to order it and found that Target and Petco sells it. It worked wonders! Really pretty amazing and it had no scent.

I also tried OxyClean and that did work OK but the other stuff was just incredible.

Hope it helps! :)

Sorry, found many that said they got it out, but none did.

Did you try white vinegar?

A friend mentioned something called "Nature's Miracle" or something like that, she found it in Petco. She said it was all natural and worked pretty well - I haven't tried it. Fortunately, our cats haven't peed anywhere but the litter box (thank goodness), but we had one cat spray a sofa 25 years ago - both the cat and the sofa are long gone, but the sofa was professionally deodorized by an upholstery cleaning service - expensive, but it worked pretty well. I can't imagine, however, ever getting enough of the smell out of your suitcase to ever want to put clothes in it again! Sorry

Thanks for the information, I'll give it a try. :thumbsup2

No idea if this has been suggested. It's an old trick for carpets. You take a cup lukewarm water and a capful (aka not much!) of white vinegar. Be sure it's all mixed together well. Take a rag and let it sit in the solution for a few second (so it's wet), ring it out, and scrub.

ETA: If you have to buy a new suitcase, check out Marshalls. We got two rolling Samsonites last week for under $75. Awesome deal.

try a vinegar and Tide solution....vinegar is an acid base that will eat through the urine smell, which is a protein bacteria....good luck :thumbsup2

We bought Dumb Cat from PetCo.com because none of the above suggestions worked. It is the only thing that takes out the mucous and pheromones that remain after urination or spraying.

It worked so well we didn't have to buy new carpet!

oh, and Monsterkitty just walks away from the spot he was peeing in and goes right to the litter box.

just pretend like its the other guys suitecase that stinks

I found the smaller bottle sold with the blacklight (detects the pee) at Petco for $20 and bought that. Now I am going to order the refill larger bottle to keep around incase.

Good luck!

We used to have a cat that liked to pee on things, and if the thing she peed on couldn't go into the washer I couldn't get that smell out. We tried all sorts of stuff, including a professional carpet service, but nothing helped.

For good deals on luggage try Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, and Dillard's. I have gotten some terrific Samsonite luggage at Dillard's for 75% off.

He's what we did: First we took the cat back to the shelter, then we ripped up the carpet and replaced it.
