In a few weeks I want to use 417 to get from the auto train to Disney, Disney to Kennedy, and Disney to Universal. Staying at Kidani. Remembering that GPS will fight this I can’t remember where to get on 417. Thanks for any tips.

Interestingly enough (or not) if you use Google Maps and put SFB (yes, the airport, not the train station) and AKL it takes you via 417. Entering the train station gives 417 as an alternative.

Different GPS devices can provide varying recommended paths based on: 1) least distance, 2) least time or 3) maximize freeways. You can also try google maps online to see what alternatives it provides.

For AKV-KSC, you just go east on Osceola Parkway to 417. Then 417 past MCO to 528 east and then follow the signs/Google Maps. About halfway to Cocoa, you'll turn NE on 407 to head towards Titusville.

To get from AKV to Universal, Maps will almost certainly route you on I-4. 417 would be out of the way.

417 is not always faster as it veers east of Orlando and is not a direct route to WDW, as recommend by pp the best course of action is to follow the GPS route that populates when you arrive in Sanford, if it takes you via I-4 then I recommend following that as I-4 is truly the most direct route between Sanford and WDW..

From WDW to KSC, you would take I-4 to 528 east and take 528 straight to KSC.. As mentioned by pp follow signage to the KSC visitors complex and it should be an easy drive..

From WDW to Universal, take I-4 east (towards Orlando/Daytona) straight to Universal area and following electronic signs to parking garage entrances.. Once again, also an easy drive..

What you could do is while, waiting for your car, pull up the traffic on your phone. Unless the train was running late I4 should not be a big problem.
To get to 417 from the train station you more or less want to head south from the station. This is doable as long as they are done shuttling the car carriers.
