Getting off site without a car

Hi guys

We have decided this trip not to bother with a car. We have a toddler so only doing Disney parks, we have the dining plan so will only eat on site but ... I would like one little trip to the Premium Outlets to get my bargains for bringing home to Scotland!!

How easy would it be to get to the outlets from Disney?? Willing to bus, taxi if it's not too expensive. Was wondering if a Disney bus to DTD then a taxi would be the easiest option? and if so are there taxis at the other end to get back? You never notice these things when you don't need them.

The easiest thing to do would be to rent a car for the day. As I recall there is a place in DTD to do it.

The least expensive option will be a rental car. You can rent from the Dolphin, Disney Car Care Centre, the Buena Vista Palace and the Regal Sun. The last two are easy to get to....ride the bus to DTD and then just walk across the street. The Regal Sun is Dollar and the rest are Alamo.

Orlando Premium Outlets offers a free shuttle service from select hotels.

Some where once I remember seeing the schedule for it but I don't remember where. I am almost positive the Regal Sun was a stop.

Premium OUtlets has a shuttle that I think goes to the DTD hotels. I remember reading about it, but don't have info handy. Maybe check out the PRemium OUtlets web site.

The DTD bus gets you within easy walking distance of the DTD hotels.

FWIW though, we have a one day car rental from Dollar at the Regal Sun for $35 next month. So bus to DTD, Walk to regal Sun, rent car, return car to Regal Sun, Walkt to DTD, bus back to resort. We actually are renting it on the last day of out stay, so we pick up at Regal Sun and drop at MCO. That way we don't have to leave quite so early for the airport,

FWIW --

I went to the Prime Outlets during my stay last October. I grabbed a taxi at DD and went to the outlets. Cost was about $10 each way.

Thanks guys - that's great. Taxi or free shuttle bus probably the way forward then! Car hire prices jump up once we have to hire a car seat for our son too! (We brought out own last year when we had the car for 2 weeks).
