Sitting here at home waiting for UPS.....tracking says that it is out for delivery....just in time for the trip to WDW on Thursday. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Exciting indeed! Id be interested to know how you get on with at WDW - Im torn between this and the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 at the moment!

I'm really interested to see your WDW photos with this lens too. I got one a little while back but won't get to try it out in WDW until September. I'm really anxious to see what I might expect from it - especially the focal range. For instance, long shots of the castle vs. indoor ride photos like POTC. Maybe other people could post some to this thread too?

I upgraded from the 1.8 to the 1.4 and mine should arrive this week too! Very exciting. I can't wait to see your shots. :)

Well it is 4am and we leave for the airport at 515am. Should be in WDW at about 530 pm Orlando time. Will go straight to AKL to check in and reservations at Jiko at 7pm. Will post some pics with the new lens as soon as I take them. :cool1:

OK, here's some of my 50mm F1.4 shots from my last WDW trip (before the one that I left yesterday ;) ). These are a taken with a Pentax *ist DL, which lacks image stabilization.

F1.7, 1/90, ISO 1600.

F2.4, 1/90, ISO 1600.

F1.4, 1/2, ISO 800. (This would probably be better with IS!)

F9.5, 1/1500, ISO 200. This was taken from near Crystal Palace, I don't think there's too much (if any) cropping done.

Here's some from Disneyland, using the K100D - with IS, of course.

Hope that gives you an idea. I have tons more if there's something specific you're after, or check my gallery. There isn't a way to search by focal length on there, though, sorry.
