Getting into BCV early

Need to get to BCV early one morning on my trip next week. Is the entrance of BCV gated? Just curious to know if the Uber will be hassled getting through. I am staying at SSR so I would be a registered guest on property. On the flip side can the Uber get into SSR easily or do I need to be near the entrance?

BCV is one of the strictest resorts regarding the security, especially in the morning. Typically, only a guest with a room or dining reservation at BCV will be allowed through - although there have been mixed reports of Uber being allowed through for drop-off. If they won't let you enter, have Uber drop you off by Fantasia Mini-Golf, walk through the Swan/Dolphin to BCV. It's probably a 10-minute walk, if needed.

Yes, its gated. Uber should not be hassled to just drop you off.

The security guard will ask Uber what the purpose of the visit is and will also check with you as rider. We were staying at BC in April and used April. However, I'm sure it varies with the guard.

You need to have a purpose like dining or hotel stay.

OP, maybe you know this, but your driver is going to Beach Club, not Beach Club Villas. There is no separate driving entrance for BCV. Just wanted to mention it so you know what you're doing when you enter your destination into the Uber app.

PP said that if the guard won't let you in, you can get dropped off at mini golf. You also can get dropped off at Swan or Dolphin; they don't have guards keeping drivers out.

If a guard wants to be difficult, then being a registered guest at SSR won't help you get past the guard at any other Disney-owned resort. When they are being difficult, you must have a dining reservation (ADR) or room reservation at that resort.

Not sure where Uber would pick you up at SSR; I haven't stayed there.

What's the reason for getting to BC early? It could depend if you are let in or not.

What nobody has asked is why you have to get to Beach Club early? If you have a dining reservation then they will let you right through.
