We have a 9:05 at Crystal Palace on a day that MK opens at 9am. Will they let us in early? It is DS2 first trip and would love a picture by the castle before the park fills up (He is dying to go see where "Cinderumbrella" lives princess: )

Yes they let you in early. However, I would back your PS up. We had PS's once for minutes within opening and we couldnt get through the crowd waiting for the park to open. It was insane. You can usually get a PS for up to an hour before opening.

I keep trying to get an earlier one, but since we are at POR I don't want anything too early...

I don't know from experience...but I thought I read here on the dis somewhere that they only let people who have ADR before the park opens into the park before it opens. I'm sure I read that before...because I was thinking it didn't seem quite fare for those who have early 9am ADR to have to fight the crowds to get to the ADR. I'm sure someone else will be able to tell you more.

I'd just go prepaired....and ready to be the FIRST in if you have to wait until park opening....maybe even split your group up...so at least one adult can get through to let the restraunt know your on your way....(I couldn't imagine trying to fight the crowds with small children in tow)

Disney runs special early buses from all their resorts to take guests to breakfasts, tours, etc. before park opening. I agree with another poster that the area from the turnstiles up to the ropes are mobbed from around 8:30 until opening. It might be nearly impossible to get through so a CM could let you enter for your breakfast. I would try to make it earlier (or later) to avoid this situation.

We had an 8:05 PS at Crystal Palace. I don't remember anyone checking our reservation. We just told them we had one and they pointed us to the right gate. It may be more hectic later though. If you can get it earlier I highly reccommend it. It was pretty cool walking down Main St. with no crowd. Since it was my first time I didn't really realize how cool, until I was showing our Disney pictures to a friend that is a seasoned Disney goer. He stopped the slide show and said, "Wait, look at that picture with no crowds in front of the castle." I'm not sure how to attach it or I would post it for you.

We had a 9:10 CRT on July 16 and the CM didn't want to let us in early (8:50 - we arrived at the gates at 8:30). When I looked disappointed, she said "well, since you're upset, I'll let you in. But we're only supposed to do it for people with reservations before 9." Maybe you'll find a sympathetic CM who'll let you through. It's worth trying.
