Getting Groceries at a DVC resort w/out a car

We also used Garden Grocer once. The one who delivered it was part owner and he was very good. I had called him earlier in the day and asked if I could get the groceries earlier. In a couple of hours, he was able to confirm that he would bring it over himself. That was great customer service. They charge a delivery charge, but we gave him an additional tip because we felt he went beyond our expectations.

However, now we just go to the resort store, they usually have the things we want. We usually only need water, milk and juice and occasionally bread. We only eat breakfast in the room.

Here is an earlier thread on the same topic:

We used Garden Grocer last June. I would give them an A+!! It was great because I was able to put items in the online cart and save my order, then when my mother came over I showed her what they had and we added her items. Then my brother and his family added their items to the cart on a different day.

We will definitely use them again. Be sure to place your order well enough in advance. Delivery times do get booked up during busy times of the year. At least that is how is was last summer.

Someone on the cake thread mentioned that she ordered groceries and a B-Day cake through Publix.

Anyone else go though them?

If you are asking if we have ever ordered a Publix Birthday cake, well, we have and it was delicious. All of us agreed, about 10 people. We got it ourselves though, not through any service.

We have used for several years WeGoShop. You email them your grocery list and they deliver to you room no matter what resort. We've used them for our last 5 visits to BWV over the years. They are very good and dependable. Frankly we used them this past Christmas stay at BWV and they delivered a $300 list for our stay. Here is their site http://www.wegoshop.com/

It sounds like people are happy with both wegoshop and gardengrocer. Is one cheaper than the other? Or does one have a better selection?

We too, have used gardengrocer.com for our last trip. We even ordered a case of beer (which isn't on their list), by noting it on the order (via comment/special order spot).
They delivered promptly to BCV and bell services held it for us until we were back from the parks. I won't hesitate to use them for our upcoming trip in Dec!:thumbsup2

Looks like you can order beer from gardengrocer, not sure about wine. I think I'm going with gardengrocer. They have a fantastic website.

I do like the gardengrocer website but their cake choices are toooooooo limited! I too would like to find out if wegoshop.com will sell achoholic Beverages.

just looked at the http://gardengrocer.com and it is free if your order is over $200!
I like that!
Now if they could just make a nicer looking cake than what they have pictured on their site. (click here to see)
Grocery delivery is FREE for orders over $200! We currently offer delivery to much of Central Florida (including Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Hotels) for a fee of only $12.00. (See "Service Area" for specific locations.) We also deliver to area college campuses!
