.....I KNOW!!! And it makes two of us - what possessed me to rebook since I just got off the Disney Wonder last month?? Who knows but the magic lives on! ;) as I just rebooked for the Disney Magic vacation October 29th - November 7th 2010. :cool1:
Ok everyone it's me - Introductions again. My name is Kris and ..well..you can call me one incredible Disney nut as I get into all things Disney but hey...don't believe me just read my trip report you will see listed somewhere in the DCL trip report section of this website. Just look for the yellow smiley face just to the left of the title, "MY VERY FIRST TRIP TO WDW /DCL JAN 7th - 15th....etc. .....or here is a link to it: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2062857
Enjoy reading it from quite a different perspective since I am a solo "commando" traveler but hey-- this is where you.....y-o-u the reader come in:cool1: cuz YOU can help me put together this trip! WOW!! Isn't that cool???!!!! I have no clue as to what's up or places to see or do in the Western section of the Caribbean so I welcome suggestions. Just remember.....I gotta have my Key lime cookies with my margaritas so LOOK OUT KEY WEST!!!!:drinking1
Ok - so back to the pre-trip report thingee. this is sort of a meandering pre-trippy report so you will see me pop in and out of this as the days get closer to my date of departure. And yes, I welcome input as to what to do on my pre-day as I will be at the Port Orleans French Quarter hotel. Just keep in mind that I have NEVER seen a Disney fireworks show nor have I had a Disney rice crispy treat, never met Mary Poppins nor Bert.......
thinking about MK on my pre-day followed by Grand Floridian for character breakfast the next morning?? Need suggestion please as to also what to do after the breakfast until I have to board the ME bus to the port.

- C YA! pixiedust:

.... Wow! It's raining cats & dogs down here in Dallas today but what more the reason to continue working on my Disney plans. :goodvibes
BUT......... gotta ask - I decided to go to MNSSH party on Friday October 30th but I have never been to it!! What's it like?? What's the admission cost?
Anway - that's my question "of the day" as my plans are slowly progressing along.
Now back to working more on "mass producing" my Fish Extender gifts for all on our October 31st Disney Magic cruise. :thumbsup2

But before you go, here is another picture from my WDW trip from Jan 2009:

Hiya - your plans sound great! We were on the last Halloween cruise and it was amazing. We also did MNSSHP the evening before we cruised and it was out of this world. I can highly recommend it! I think we were in MK until about 1am. Look forward to reading about your plans and preparations!

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2062857

....the above is the link to my TR from January 2009....."My 1st Ever Trip to the House of Mouse!"

Anywho - So I can't get spooked by Mickey and company in October 30th.......so I have opted to still chill out around MK area on that day/evening followed by a good rousin' at GF the next am at the "Supercalifrag" breakfast!
*** Can you imagine.....I have n-e-v-e-r SEEN the movie, "Cinderella" until just 2 days ago?????:upsidedow....pretty cool movie.****

....that and I have never been to the GF area either...so I should be in for a pretty good time.

but after seeing the movie Cinderella, NOW I know how to converse with Anastasia and Griselda .

ok.....back to updating a little on my TR! :woohoo:

oh....and by the way....check me out on FACEBOOK....cuz I have a lot of the pics from my January 2009 trip (AND VIDEOS) now up on my page..................feel free to write me a message or what not..........

(just click on the below and it will play something I wish I could find on a refrigerator "chip clip" and not just on a t-shirt....

.....been a rather busy last few weeks dealing with a lot of personal silliness. I almost broke down and booked a WDW /DCL vacation for NEXT WEEK because of all of this....but I don't know if I am a silly goose for backing off of it or a silly goose for thinking of going. Anywho -
Onward to all things Disney. I have decided to delve into the rhealm of Disney character autographs and pin trading. So these two things oughta be a nice addition to my plans.
Fat writing Sharpies (pens) or regular ones??:confused3

That and I have been hearing that the Disney Magic has chocolate Mickey waffles (YUM!!) :goodvibes. Gotta check that out! **Gotta have your MICKEY WAFFLES **:goodvibes
I am open to suggestions from you for what food to try as I am also looking at adding a trip to Palo's during this vacation as well.

Until next time -

I can now make a pretty cool looking towel monkey without it looking strange:

That now makes 3: a seashell, swan and now a monkey I can now make after I bought (while on the Wonder in January 2009) the Disney's "The art of Towel Origami" book.. pretty neat book if any of ya wanna learn how they are made.
It also helps to brighten up anyone's day after a long day of traveling or what not.

Here are some examples of what I have FINALLY MASTERED (AND THE MONKEY IS A PAIN 2 LEARN):

towelcreationsonthecruiseship.jpg

(photo shot while on the Disney Wonder - January 2009)

and...
towelanimalinsideyourstateroomon-1.jpg

(photo shot while on the Disney Wonder - January 2009)

....by far the Swan has been the easiest...and by the way, the Monkey (in the above picture) is wearing red-colored HSM3 sunglasses :goodvibes.
On a different note, looks like I will be heading back to WDW (not in Aug) but in Jan 2009 for a few days so get ready for more "exciting and wacky news" coming out of this Disney fanatic over the next few months ;).

..... I just sent this out to my 2 contacts I have on the land side of Disney. They got a kick out of the "fan letter" I sent to Goofy (attentioned "Mr Goof") in January. I heard my letter made it onto their internal bb. So, without any further adeiu.....I air this for all to see. Now....before any "Goofy" comments here....just ask yerself one question.....haven't we ALL felt this way....to SOME degree?????

"My 1st Time"

I was walking down the street when BOOM!
there she was.
Wow - what a pretty dress!
No wait! What do I say?????
Have I FORGOTTEN what I was going to say???
And why are my hands suddently feeling hot???

I couldn't do it. I had to leave.
No. Don't go.
Something made me stay.
I just had to stay and watch -
or was it gawk???

She was talking to others
and
her smile was just as big as her heart.
Oh rats! She saw me!
Hey....she smiled back at me!!
Why is my throat feeling dry??
Why can't I speak??

I quickly turned and walked out of the building.
WHY??????
Oh you silly goose!
Go back in there and say something!!!!!

No.
Yes.
Ok....FINE I will go back!
So I went back to where she was.
Sure enough - she's still there!

But Why did I leave again!!!!!!
YOU SILLY GOOSE!
NO NEED TO FEEL NERVOUS!

So I turned around AGAIN
and with a deep gulp of air and a
wringing of my hands -
I walked back inside the building,
walked right up to her and said:

"Hi! you must be Belle!
I have heard so much about you...."

(day two during my trip to WDW /DCL January 2009 - at Epcot)

P.S. yyeeaaaa!!! My order from the Blonde Giraffe came in today!!!! Will let you know my "review" on their key lime cookies!

T.T.F.N.

MineMineMine.jpg

(photo taken at Epcot - Jan 2009)

OR as the above birds would say..."MINE! MINE! MINE!!"
WOW! I just TORE UP that Disney store today! Bought over $2K in Disney gift cards - ** MAJOR :woohoo: **. I JUST HAD to have those gift cards!!
So now I am all set for my vacation when it comes to my incidental charges;).
Bought a few shirts but heyyyyy - A DISmeets friend of mine (from my Jan 2009 Disney Wonder cruise) just sent me some shirts from MAUI. :goodvibes.
So - looks like we now got some pretty cool looking Hawaiian shirts to go with my Disney shirts.

*** 186 MORE DAYS TO GO ! ****

per what I wrote a few blogs ago...WOW!!! Those Blonde Giraffe key lime cookies (Key West Florida) just rocked my world these last few days:woohoo:.
I am munching on a FEW at a time (each day) as I have lost 5 lbs since January - wanna drop another 15 by October...just in time to GAIN 10 back (I LOVE DCL FOOD) when I return to DCL and get an opportunity to do this:

(just click on the below video and it will play)

what's funny about that video, (by the way if one does shoot this kind of a video...make it much longer than mine...mine was waaaayyy too short!), is I feel that lady in front of me thought I was shooting a video of her - NO - I was shooting video of the gangplank and the side of the Disney Wonder cruise ship (January 2009).

why am I on a diet?? Simple....

......have any of you watched the cable tv program, "What NOT to Wear." ??
Now, combine that with the Travel Channel's Samantha Brown episodic travel programs that, in a few segments, shows typical beach scenes with men & women in various swim /beach attire.

Well........ I don't wanna look like something ya DONT WANNA be wearing while out "traveling" on the beach :scared1: & and /or  .

I have begun packing my suitcase! yyyeeesssss - Er....should I say suitcases as I have tried sooooo hard to "limit" myself to ONLY o-n-e suitcase but to no avail:rolleyes1.
Per se, my 1st suitcase currently sits loaded up at 46 lbs and that's WITHOUT any clothes!!!!
:rolleyes1, popcorn:: &:confused3........

Ok...ya can't forget your extension cord, your water shoes (for CC), roll of quarters, extra pair of walking shoes, FE, Pre-day MK munchies, Stateroom cabin door decorations, I-pod speakers, emergency kit, zip lock baggies, 2 photo mats, beach ball, fins, goggles, batteries, extra copies of yer travel docs, 2 pair sunglasses, 6 mini paks of laundry soap, etc but ya know -
There is something really really wrong here if I can't do this within the boundaries of one suitcase.
That's it....I must be having BOUNDARY issues;).

Kinda like my budget. -

I read somewhere that the best way to budget for a WDW and or DCL trip is to take the overall dollar amount of your budget and then multiply it times three. Next, divide it by 11 then subtract out the current numerical high temperature of Milwaukee (no offense you Wisconsonites) followed by taking all of your papered tabulations on over to the shredder and promptly shredding it:rotfl:.
So.....I have spilled out on over to 2 suitcases (a 28 & a 26 inch suitcase) and I am inquiring about that "REAS" DCL package thingee.....hhmmm - don't know if I can add it but one things fer sure -

I am adding a "Stateroom Celebration" on to my list of must haves:cloud9:.
Why?? Cuz I am celebrating my "un-birthday" a little early -

Now, about the below picture. If anyone of you visit Hollywood Studios, ya gotta meet this guy: Dapper Dan. I played the shell/pea game with him and lost EVERY GAME! He is rather entertaining and a challenge anyone to beat him at his own game. He is normally found up at the entrance to HS - just as you walk into the park.

Next up:

Until then - if ya want, go check out my above listed trip report:woohoo:.
