Getting from WDW to Universal

I know this has been posted before but I can't find it.

We're staying at WDW and would like to to go Universal. I've heard that the folks at the resorts aren't much help on this matter. DH thinks we should just use the bus but I don't think he realizes how far it is away. Could someone give me the lowdown on how to get there by bus? How many different buses do we take and what time is the last bus?

Any info is appreciated...

I believe you would have to go to the TTC and catch a lynx bus there. I would imagine it would be a long ride but doable.
Why not spend the money on a cab or rent a car for one day?

We always take a Disney bus from our Resort (Poly or WL) to Down Town Disney and from there catch a taxi. It's cheaper and not all that time consuming. I hope this helps.

Going to SWF is easy, that's the Lynx bus #50 you catch at the TTC.

But going to IOA involves 3 busses, and it ends up dropping you off across the street. It would take you too long, you'd get to IOA late, and your early morning advantage would be gone.

It's best if you rent the car or hire a limo. If you rent the car, here is how you get there.
