Getting from WDW to Universal?

Hi,
We're going to be staying at Port Orleans in WDW (family of 4). Does anyone know the best / cheapest way of getting to/from Universal for the day?

For a family four, I would say to take a cab. You can get the van cab.

It cost us $40 to take a cab from US to WDW in 2007.

The other option is Mears but I think it is around $15/per person each way which quickly adds up when you have four passengers.

We are going the other way - from Universal to the MK for a day. We opted for a limo, RT will be $70 plus tip, for the six of us. Note that some limo companies will do such transfers only if you use them for the RT from MCO to your resort, which of course we are. You might find one (in these economic times) willing to take you without the MCO/resort trip.

The pros: same rate regardless of traffic or delays; probably a nicer vehicle; not having to find a taxi when leaving the MK; dropoff and pickup at MK at the Contemporary, which is a short walk to MK - no crowds to fight through; a phone number to call if anything goes wrong.

Cons: scheduled pick up times, so once there we're pretty much stuck there unless we can call to change the schedule. That's about the only one I can think of right now.

We took a taxi from Orlando airport to Royal Pacific. ($40) Stayed there for 3 days, and did Universal.
Then took a taxi from Royal Pacific to WDW. ($40)
Then took ME from WDW to MCO.
