I know there is the walking path (I've done it 4 times during RunDisney events - I am kind of afraid of what my body would do if I do it, even just walking).

There has been a boat, but for some reason I thought I remembered reading that it was closed now? Am I remembering wrong?

If it's closed, is there another option? Or is walking my best bet?

(Planning to go from Passholder Playtime to Epcot on my Saturday morning.)

Thanks everyone! I'm not super worried about speed as I'm not doing any ADRs that day - I plan to eat breakfast at Woody's Lunch Box and then the rest of the day will snack at Food & Wine. I'll play it by ear that day.

We've done it both ways (walk and boat), we prefer to walk. Like people have said the boats are painfully slow and there is always the chance that you will have to wait at HS for more than 1 boat to go through. Plus if you aren't in a hurry you can always go though the BW area and enjoy that for a few minutes.

Another fan of the walking path. We always do it unless it's very late in the day and we see the boat pulling up to the dock when we are leaving HS. Even then, we only take the boat to one of the resorts and walk the rest of the way. 99% of the time we walk it, sometimes multiple times a day.

If I wasn't walking it (it's a super easy walk) I'd either bus or Uber.

Taking the boat would be my very last option as it takes longer than walking and it's like sitting inside an oven.

If there's a boat there or pulling in as we exit DHS we'll take that, getting off at S/D, we beat it to YC/BC on foot. If there's no boat in sight we'll walk and beat the boat on foot.

Walk along the path - stop at Ample Hills for sustenance - continue on to Epcot!

I’d estimate it at maybe a 20 minute walk, not including the required stop at AH.

I love the walking path but no way this time of year unless you're planning an extended stop for beer at the big river grille.Next year at some point we're looking at the skyliner gondolas as another way to get between parks.

Another fan of the walkway. We rarely take the boats between the two parks.

We took the enclosed boats in the summer once. NEVER AGAIN! It was so grossly hot inside, it was torture.

International gateway, through the boardwalk, coming out near the boat dock outside HS

Except it is on the opposite side of the water than the boat dock - so when you get to the water, from HS, head right to find the path, head left to find the dock.
