getting from one resort to another

We are staying our first night at Pop Century, then moving to AKL for the next three nights as part of a land /sea package. Is there bus transportation from Pop to AKL and what about our luggage?
Is this a hassle or a normal, common occurance?

Disney will transfere your luggage from one resort to another, but you will have to transfer yourself. The easiest way to do that, is to go to a park from Pop using disney buses, then going to AKL from the park by simply taking a disney bus to AKL. Or if you want to, you can take a taxi from one resort to another.

One advantage to having a rental car rather than using limo or taxi from the airport. We always rent a car, and the price is sometimes cheaper as well. Helps going to DD also.

Have Disney transfer your luggage. As this will take some time for them to do and chances are you will not immediately be able to get into the room at AKL. Send the luggage on it's way, go off and have fun at the parks when your done there simple take a bus to AKL. Check in and your luggage will probably be waiting for you in your room. That simple!

Thanks for your help. I'm considering all options right now.
As there is just the two of us car rental prices seem really steep right now, although we are wanting to rent a car to take us from the Cruise ship back to Pop and then to MCO.
If we take the bus to another park, does anyone know which is closest? Our Ultimate Park Hopper doesn't begin until we check in to AKL, so even if it takes an hour to get a bus to a park and then to AKL at least we can check in in the a.m. and spend time in a park, but we have to get to AKL first! ( We are only staying one night at POP before AKL because our flight won't arrive until 5 p.m. earliest ) .
Also anyone any idea what a taxi costs from Pop to AKL?
