Getting from MK to Chef Mickey

Only ever been on the monorail once, think it was MK to Epcot. Anyway, booked Chef Mickey's for Saturday 28th at 8pm. In MK that day. What time should I be leaving to get to Contemporary Resort? Is Chef Mickey's easy to find from the monorail station? Also, how do I get back to Pop Century from Contemporary resort? Monorail back to MK & then bus? Or any other, quicker way?

Chef Mickey's is VERY easy to find once you arrive at the Contemporary. There is one elevator that will take you to the floor for Chef Mickey's OR an escalator(I think) that takes you to the correct floor.

I'm not sure how early you'd need to leave guess that depends on how crowded it is? As long as your on the monorail by 7:30 I'd think you'd arrive in plenty of time....but I'm not an expert like some others here

As far as I know you're going to have to hop a monorail to the park and catch a bus back to your resort, that is what we had to do to get there.

Or to get back to Pop you can get back on the monorail and get off at the next stop, the TTC. And switch to a Pop bus from there.

Board the RESORT Monorail from MK.
Contemporary is the first stop. (Trip takes just about 2-3 minutes after the monorail starts rolling.)
I'd leave MK 30 minutes or so before your ressie time (you'll want to be early rather than late.)

Chef Mickey's can be SEEN as you walk across the monorail platform inside the Contemporary.
Then, right after you come down the escalator form the platform, follow around to your right and you'll come to the entrance to thre restaurant.

You want to go back to MK to catch a bus to Pop.

Getting back to MK will actually be a bit faster/closer if you walk back from.
The MK bus loading area is close to the Contemporary.

Be sure to get on the resort monorail. Sometimes they take a little bit as they also stop at the Poly and GF. It is a fairly short walk from main gate to Contemporary too.

There is no Pop Bus at the TTC.
Resort buses have not used TTC for years.

Virtually all the resort buses load/unload back at MK's bus lot.
The exceptions are Shades of Green and (temporarily) WL
(not sure about FtW buses.)

I'd get to the monorail station (Resorts) about 15 minutes before my ADR.

The Contemporary is so close to the Magic Kingdom that it's often quicker to walk than it is to take the monorail. (Of course, the monorail is a nice way to get there if you want an excuse to ride it.)

For your trip back to Pop, you'll want to get to the Magic Kingdom buses. When we were there in August, they loaded right next to the Magic Kingdom entrance. I understand, though, there were some renovations going on at those bus shelters recently and the buses were temporarily relocated to the TCC. I'm not sure where they leave from now. If they're still at the TCC, take the monorail. If they're back in front of the gate again, I really recommend walking. Magic Kingdom is the last stop when leaving from the Contemporary on the monorail. The full monorail circuit can take a long time.

chef mickey's is very easy to get to from mk. it will take you about 6-9 minutes to get there. have fun! .
