Getting from Living Seas to U.K. Lochside

I've been thinking about our reception locations (living seas and then dessert party at U.K.) and was wondering how far it is from the living seas to u.k. lochside ?

Can we all walk there or do we need transport?

Think I would rather walk than have to pay money for transport.

Also when our dessert party is over how do we get out of the park?

We were thinking it would be nice for everyone to exit via international gateway and then have a nice stroll and arranging a coach to pick everyone up and depost them at their respective (non-disney) villas.

Do you think this is possibe?

You can walk from Living Seas to UK Lochside, I just don't know if it's too far for people in heels or the less active. I'm bad at distance! It is pretty far.

I'm sure you could just walk out of Epcot together at the end of the night. I'd say it's about a 3-minute walk to the International Gateway and another 5 or 6 minutes to the Beach Club, if you wanted to send guests home from there.

But if you're paying for a coach from there to the villas, why not just pay for one to pick them up them backstage?

Thats good news, do we need to pay an escort ?

I'm sure you could just walk out of Epcot together at the end of the night. I'd say it's about a 3-minute walk to the International Gateway and another 5 or 6 minutes to the Beach Club, if you wanted to send guests home from there.

But if you're paying for a coach from there to the villas, why not just pay for one to pick them up them backstage?

As for the coach - We will be dropping guests at offsite villas, so can a non disney bus get backstage?

Does the boat still run at the end of the night over to the boardwalk?

We didn't need to pay for the escorts at our dessert party - it was just included in the cost. However, I could see that being an extra charge...maybe... The cost of the Epcot escort for our rehearsal was $90, so you could figure on paying that and then be pleasantly surprised if you aren't charged

I do not believe you would need an escort out of Epcot at the end because the park is closed and evryone is leaving anyway. We didn't have any.

Regarding the buses, Disney is in cahoots - er, I mean, has a contract with Mears, the largest transportation company in Orlando. I'm not sure if you can even get a bus that isn't Mears! But if you could, I can see how they might not let it go backstage, so then Beach Club would be a good bet!

Yes $90 dollars is not too bad, and as you say if we budget for it and are not charged then its a bonus

I didn't realise that Disney was in 'cahoots' with mears. I will ask my planner (when I get one) and see what she says.
