What is the quickest way to get from Epcot to the Beach / Yacht Club dock? I'm surprising my family with a Illuminations cruise :boat: and I was told by our cruise director Big V to be there no later than 8:15. We have never been to either hotel so I'm lost as to how to get to them.

Probably the fastest way is just to walk through the International Gateway, straight ahead to the dock. It's at most a seven or eight minute walk. The BC shares a dock with the YC. You can't miss it.

Definitely exit Epcot through the International Gateway. If there is a boat there, you can take a short 5-minute ride (I believe BC/YC is the first stop, but you'd want to ask). It is probably fastest in any event to simply walk - as Greg K. says, you can't miss it and it won't take you more than 10 minutes at a fairly leisurely pace.

The quickest way is to walk. The YC/BC is the second stop on the Friendship boats. As you are walking from the IG, the BC will be the first resort and the YC will be the second resort you pass. DO NOT go to the dock with the lighthouse where the Friendship boats dock. You will need to walk farther down. The marina is on the far end of the YC.

We're also going on an Illuminations Cruise after spending a day at Epcot, and I was thinking about the parking situation. If we part at the Epcot front entrance parking lot, we won't be able to get back there after the cruise, right? Because Epcot will be closed and we'd have to enter Epcot via the International Gateway and walk back to the entrance. I don't think they'd let us back in so this wouldn't work.

I'm thinking we'll either have one of us move the car to Yacht or Beach Club later in the afternoon, or perhaps just park there in the morning and enter Epcot through International Gateway. Thoughts on this?

mareed, I'd just park at BC or YC and then enter through International Gateway and the car will be there when you're done. We always park at BW when we go to Epcot (we stay on property but hate waiting for the buses). Then sometimes we hang out at the Boardwalk before going back to the hotel. Have fun!

Castlebound, I think walking is the best way.

Hi Christal! Just don't be late! ;) I would take the boat with the children. Also I have read on another thread that the cruise boat captain might be able to drop you off right at the International Gateway if you are parked in the Epcot parking lot. But don't quote me on that one! :D

Everything has been covered, but i would like to add a small hint.

After you leave Epcot via the Gateway, stay on the path to your right. Keep the water on your left. Don't go across the bridge. If you go across the bridge, you will end up at the Boardwalk. If you have any trouble, just ask someone on the path. They will know where to point you as they are probably staying at an Epcot resort.

Have fun! :)
