What is the best route to get from inside DL to Disneyland Hotel for our dinner at Goofy's??? How long would it take us to walk there?

You could take the Monorail to DTD then walk from there. Or you could just walk from the exit to the DLH. Walking the whole way will probably take about 10 minutes or so if you don't stop to look at stuff.

I would say it depends on where you are in the park. If you are in Tomorrowland at the time and want to do the fun ride that you might not have made a priority to stand in line for, the Monorail is the answer.

If you are anywhere else in the park, then it's your choice. It really is a quick walk to the hotel. If you are a slow walker, it could take 15 minutes. If you are in the back of the park, by Splash Mountain or Toon Town, add another 15 to get out of the park.

When you take the monorail, you will still have a 3-5 minute walk, depending on your pace.

alright so since we have never rode the monorail at DL can you catch it inside of DL???

Yes, you can get on it in Tomorrow Land. I believe the entrance now is between Nemo and Autopia. That is where we got in line last year. It's convenient and fun!

Be aware that the line to the Monorail can take quite a long time, and walking to the DLH may be your quicker option. When we were there, I overheard the CMs saying that because of the new monorails, they are limiting the passengers to 15 per car. They also take time to make sure each car has the limit and try to fill when necessary.

When we took the Monorail from Tomorrowland back to the DLH in the evening, we stood in line for a few cycles of monorails. We weren't in a hurry and enjoyed watching the Nemo subs.

I read this somewhere else too, that they are limiting the number of passengers to each car. That can really make the line slow down. We will be there on Sunday and should be interesting to see.

Can one ride the monorail just for the experience? We stay off-site, but I would love to ride the monorail sometime.

I last rode it when I was 7 and that is before some posters here were born!

:~)

Most definitely! You can ride it just for the sake of riding it!

YES, we think of the monorail as an attraction at DL and not a means of transportation. Love it!!

It actually got a little more exciting, for lack of a better word, in the last decade than the old version of the Monorail, pre-2001. It seems to go a little faster now (that could be my imagination) and it tilts more to the side on the turns. It is not a thrill ride, by any means, but it is also not slow and steady like the People Mover. It has a little bit of a kick to it to keep us interested, so it is definitely a little more than transportation!!:thumbsup2

I agree. My boys are 5 and 3 and think it's just super! :thumbsup2 They have no clue Space and Splash Mt. even exsist. LMAO!:rotfl2: They'll be in for it one day :)

Yep! The Monorail is just a stepping stone to what awaits them down the line! Tower of Terror, here they come!

Just so you know, you will have to get off in Downtown Disney, and then re-board to get back to Tomorrowland! You should definitely ride it again! :goodvibes
