getting fit for your trip - a place to share & ramble

I have not reached my goal weight for this trip.

Oh well, i tried and am so happy that in 3 sleeps I will no longer be straining soup thru my teeth, or ordering vegi delights from subway....

roll on burgers and fries......:crowded:

So good luck to everyone still on the program...I have 2 more gym sessions to go, 3 more breakfast oats with water, 3 more lunches of spag on toast, and 3 more dinners of vegi delights.
thursday cant come quick enough.:drive:

Dont worry about goal weight. Goals are just that .. Goals. Not a line in the sand. Not a rule. Not a 'you must weigh xx kg before you board the plane' although i know most of us feel that way ..

You look amazing and you will have a wonderful time.

Cant wait to read your tr when you return!!

I am joining this thread, I have soo much to lose. I haven't set a goal yet but at least if I post here it gives me some accountability. I am losing for my next trip and also my sister wedding next October, which I am maid of honour :crazy2:
The wedding is on the 26th, my birthday is 27th and I intend on flying out on the 28th......crazy much?

What are you diet plans food wise?

I started today with a bowl of oats with skim and a cuppa.

sounds like a plan :drinking1 --- and congrats to you and your DH on your weightloss. those are some fabulous results!! for your effort you get :wishgoal

my day seems to go like this:

breakfast: probiotic in liquid form, 1/2 cup oats with lactose free milk
lunch: sandwich with ham & salad or canned tuna & salad or homemade fruit salad (usually grapes with apple & pear cut into slices). if i have the fruit salad, i usually graze on that over an hour or so.
dinner: steamed veges. some nights with fish, others with 1/3 cup mushroom risotto, other nights just veges with some relish on the side

to drink: water, water with lemon or iced tea. i will drink hot tea only if i have a headache.

occasionally, i will have an apple for a snack, or some jelly that i pre-made.

the exercise field has been a total wash with me, but i need to pick that up and get really serious about doing my kms on my bike :) :crazy2::scratchin:wave2:

Congrats on the weight loss! Feel pity for me while I'm at home looking at your food porn while I'm eating oats and salad! Can't wait to get my hands on all that American cuisine mmm mmm!

Well, tonight I have decided that I shall be the one to win big Wedensday. I'll be 27 million dollars richer, have a lamborghini, audi, boat, $675,000 towards a batch, a $50,000 visa platnum card and $50,000 towards luxury travel.

And i'll spend all day maiking yummy healthy food and exercising in my personal gym. While not being at work. What a LIFE!

So yup...that will be me :D

i just want enough to finance a trip or 2 to disney, PE seats on the plane, a quick side trip for a cruise, a trip to NYC and New Orleans and San Fran and Seattle and Chicago and Boston and Washington, enough money to get some lipo on my stomach/thighs, to buy a nice house & maybe a nice car.. oh, and to pay off my HECS fees and my credit card bill.

that's not a lot, right?

like... $1mil should cover that...

the rest is just gravy :)

Okay here goes...my name is Kylee and I'm fat! I am 168cm tall and weigh 96kg...

I am very strong and fairly active BUT I'm larger than I need to be. I go to a personal trainer along with my DH twice a week. I can only imagine how large I would be having not done this over the past 3 years! I love going to PT, I HATE getting out of bed in the AM.

My goal is to lose 10kg by January (annual holiday in Bali with friends) and another 5kg on top of that by July 2013 (Disney cruise in the Mediterranean/DRP with friends).

I am truely inspired (and if I'm being honest - embarrassed) by all the from the heart stories everyone has shared. Thank you for listening.

welcome!! best of luck on your goal. everyone here is really supportive, and i often find that checking in here, even if i don't post, but lurking and reading about everyone else's day to day journey is really motivating :)

welcome to the group :)

Well, alas. I'm not a multi millionaire

:(

Save my hard earned monies for Disney I shall have to do...

The title says it all. I'll be in WDW in 95 days, Yay! I gave myself a goal to lose 30lbs before I get there and if I do I will reward myself with a ticket to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! I've always wanted to go but I've never been. I am eating between 1200 - 1500 calories everyday and exercising 90 minutes a day, 6 days a week.

That's a lot of exercise, well done!

Well it's taken me 3 weeks but finally saw a loss: 0.9! Exercising at least an hour a day 5 days a week + two hours one weekend day. And eating 1200 cals. Be nice if I lost quicker but at least the scales are going in the right direction! doubt I'll be at goal in time for our trip in 8 weeks but oh well.

How's everyone else travellonh?
