getting fit for your trip - a place to share & ramble

congratulations-500x375.jpg

yup.((((((waving)))))

and we spared NO expense on mangling the English language...

so once again...

cyongrassdulations to youse on you weeightty lose:confused3

Everyone seems to be doing well (apart from Karen with her spelling!).:cool1::cool1:

Down half a kg this week. Dunno how that occurred, two sick kids for the best part of it and I mainlined chocolate cake to get thru it and didn't exercise apart from walking the dog. The dog seemed to get a dose of the kids bug too, spew-o-rama on the wood floor a few times yesterday.

I've poked my Archilles on all the hill runs and if I walk the dog on the flat it's okay. If I walk on the flat my s.joint goes into spazam. I think I'd take the limp over the bad back. Can't win. Only bonus of the bad back is if the dog spews DH has to clean it up as I can't bend too well and he's shorter so has less far to go. :lmao:

Well I've been given an extra long weekend by my doc :). I'm feeling much better, but he's recommended another day off work and who am I to argue?:confused3. So... I was thinking that if the rains hold off tomorrow arvo I might see if I can go for a gentle walk, but we will see. I'm missing my exercise:eek:

I thought this thread was all about exercise-which I abhor therefore have avoided it-and I flick on it and all I see is cake..and more cake...and cupcakes...and Mickey waffles and..and....do you girls love to torture yourselves or what!!!!

:rolleyes1

I got nothin' *shrugs shoulders*

If I get to eat all that cake as a reward maybe I need to rethink this exercise thing...I used to be able to eat cake and chocolate and everything and not gain a pound-not any more. My friends hate me because I have always been on the thinner side and could eat what I wanted but now I actually have to "diet" if I don't want to balloon out or heaven forbid..I guess exercise

Ugliest Ariel i've ever seen...

Except for it being cake :scratchin

Weigh in and measurement day for me today and the results are in.....

Bust, waist, and hips all down 1cm each and a weight loss of 700 grams. I have not missed a day on the tredamill so it seems to be working, slowly but surely.
If I keep getting around the 700- 800gm mark each week, I should hit goal before we go or get very damn close!

It's going to be tough, but I will give it my all and I figure that some loss is better than no loss......right?!:thumbsup2

Hope everyone else is having a good run and not eating too much of Karen's cakes!!!

And anyone form work henceforth that asks for a cheescake between now and October 24 shall be told a stern NO!!!:upsidedow

I just had a donut :guilty:

But i'm pretty sure the amount of adrenaline I used today burnt some fat and energy :rolleyes1

Keep up the good work everybody :thumbsup2

I think I need to join this group! I don't need to lose weight but I need to get fit! I found out how little stamina I have on Thursday after volunteering at the school athletics carnival sausage sizzle!

Plan is to go walking with the girls tomorrow with our shoes on we plan on taking for Disney. Just need the inspiration and motivation to keep it up!

I can see a bit of Jay Leno in there as well :scared1:

:scared1: i see that too now :)

O M GEEE I just saw that!

lol. was the first thing that popped into my mind when i saw the cake.

i have been really good with my food lately. i've mostly cut out sweets & soft drink and most fats (still have some of the 'good' fats like tuna and salmon). no cupcakes or pop tarts or chocolate or cheese or cake.

have a truckload of groceries being delivered tomorrow, and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. my illness has made itself very well known at the moment, so i have to be uber-careful about the foods i eat, which is good for the diet.

not so good for exercise as i have been exhausted, lethargic and spend most of the day rugged up under a blanket, shivering and having difficulty keeping warm.

started a diet/exercise journal today and plan on adding 10km of bike riding to it for tomorrow.

i now have 16 months to get in shape for our next trip. if i can't pull this off in that time, there is something seriously, seriously wrong with me.

Tonight i'm not doing so well...

Cadbury marvellous creations jelly popping candy beanies :scared1:
I'll be walking tomorrow morning...
