getting fit for your trip - a place to share & ramble

I didn't walk, I tried to do my tax...

Got a rough estimate of DH's, my refund will pay his bill

:crazy2:

I have no words...

Omg :furious: that stinks !!! they gave us our payment summaries via email/ electronic access to the payroll system ... Should have seen the huge line up at the printer :(

my refund works out to be exactly what i need and will be going straight onto our usd card to pay for flights and accom etc for this trip.

Not sure how much longer i will have this job as my stupid health is failing and i dont know
how much longer i can keep it up :(

Sounds like some solid walks /runs there ladies! :thumbsup2

Tax? We don't do tax, DH did it once and thought he was getting money and found out he owed it! So we paid that and NZ changed to a no-file sort of policy, so we don't worry about it (given he's in the top tax bracket and they tax me as his unworking wife also in the top bracket, I don't think we have anything to worry about).

Took the kids for a long walk on the beach yesterday morning. They go on their runner bikes and I carry their spades and juggle the dogs lead.

I spent the whole of last night in agony on the couch, waves of cramps in my lower gut. I don't know what was going on but it was not good (according to DH who sat at the other end of the room muttering about the smell). I hardly slept in between cramp and kids getting up at 4AM and 0630AM.

Today is the fifth anniversary of my Dad passing. This might not be a good food intake day at all with one thing and another. Anyone want my kids for the day.... go on Karen, you are an experienced parent and grandma and twins are no more trouble that one kid. ::yes::

Just went and bought subway for morning tea o.o
I think im going to start trying to have poached or boiled eggs on toast in the morning. Something to give my metabolism a kick start. I have a feeling my morning primo extremo's just aren't doing the trick! Im feeling a little frustrated as i've been eating rightish and going to the gym afew times a week and I just put ON 1kg. fml fml fml!

Urgh tax. We're waiting to get DH's statement since he was working up until Christmas. We SHOULD get something back; mine will work out to 3/4 pay over the year and his will be 1/2 pay and we've both been taxed at the 100% rate - I think. Anyway, that will be for our accountant to figure out :)

I'm wearing one of my new dresses today. Put on those suck-me-in undies. All they do is push the fat up to just under my ****s! So now I have a little roll above my belly button. Very attractive! On the plus side, it's inspiration to keep going. I've had somebody else say that I've lost weight - yay!

:cool1:

Well done! Those suck me in undies are so uncomfy :lmao:
I have suck me in bathers, they suck you in alright but you can't move in them ;)

Today i'm going to get DS on his bike and we'll go for a walk, country town bakeries do me no favours, I think put on close to 2kg on the weekend :rotfl: feels like it anyway.

I'm thinking I should have bought the ones that go from ****s to mid-thigh. I feel like my thighs are sticking out too. I imagine I'd look like something from one of those old mummy movies though if try one of those **** to thigh thingys.

:rotfl: we went to a wedding a few months ago and I wore those undies and my DH saw me in them and says "WOW, they look...um..." and there I cut him off, I didn't need to hear anymore :rotfl2:

I'm going to need something to wear for formal night on the cruise, this'll be interesting...

OMG, I can't believe I am posting this (up until now, only my husband knows). I have a dirty little secret. I lost almost 30lbs last Fall. Well, over the holidays, I fell off the wagon HARD! I have since gained all the weight back and am starting over again. My secret to keep everyone from knowing that I have gained all my weight back is that, I only go out in public with Spanx on. I have to get things under control, I don't even like to look at myself!

A friend left a box of Bulters chocolates in my mailbox this morning. After visiting my Dad's grave I was a bit hungry and upset and ate them all. Now I feel tired and sick.:(

I'm sorry to hear about your Dad :grouphug:

I lost my Dad too when I was 21 (i'm now 35), I miss him but it does get easier.
There are days when you need the endorphins of chocolate, today is one of those days...

hummmmmm...let me seeee....2 x 4 yr old boys.......you deserve a medal.
I was flat out keeping up with 1 x 4yr old at a time....that was 21 & 16 years ago(god I'm feeling old today)...I'm now a tad rusty.....so i'll let you keep them:wave2:

just remember, they hunt in packs...a bit like teenage girls, but not as nasty....although i remember the 4 yr old boy smell..still like a baby but muskier....wish i could have bottled it:sad:they grow so fast.

and ladies.. remember.....we are who we are & that's who were suppose to be.....& when life gives you lemons.....throw them at someone you love!

Had my two yearly doctor appointment today for girl stuff. Apparently since I am 40 and 10 kilo overweight, I have to get a raft of tests. Internal and external ultrasound an, the blood test where you have to fast for 12 hours. Feeling a little down......

Went to the gym last night. WOO! Was great except for the annoying woman who went around and opened the blinds to the main road where people were backed up in 5oclock traffic. Like I want people looking at me jiggling up and down on a treadmill sweating like a pig -.- and to make it worse, everytime she grabbed her sweat towel and put it back, she hit me on the arm. gross.

I had some dry needling done, to pull apart the knot in my muscle, still tender today, but should be good over the next couple of days ::yes::

I have a spin bike at home that has been neglected because I get bored on it. However, I dusted it off yesterday and did some spinning while checking the boards for the day on my tablet. It worked great, the time flew by and I killed two birds with one stone. So, I am doing the same now lol. I am at 23 min. and 302 calories.pixiedust:
