getting fit for your trip - a place to share & ramble

I've signed up for the 12 week transformation challenge :cool1: It starts in two weeks today :cool1: The next two week are the pre-season task weeks. Things to get ready so that come Monday 27th it's all go! You have to clean out your pantry and fridge of no no foods, make sure it's stocked with yes foods/staples, including many condiments that are in the recipes. I pretty much have everything on the list. We are provided with shopping lists for each week's meals too as they come up. We have to "gear up", making sure we have what we need to work out, cook etc. We have to set our goals and then there are some more tasks to come.

We can choose from three exercise types... gym, outdoor or home. You can do one or a combo of any of them. I'm going to do home and outdoor. Mainly because I want to learn exercise option to do at home and outdoor rather than just walking or running.

I am really looking forward to it. After losing 12+ kgs on the 12 week challenge last year ( I lost a few more after it finished), I'm looking forward to doing at least that again this time.
So by Christmas, I should be a whole 15kgs lighter! Well that's the plan anyway! :cool1:

Hmm - the 12 week challenge sounds good, but I leave in 7 weeks, so probably not the best here!!

OK - Charlotte (my dog) and I were out pounding the pavement this morning at 515am!! I know, I know - but I couldn't sleep, so it was better to be doing something than not!!! Walked for 40 minutes, so I figured that was good to start!
Tomorrow is a public holiday in Brissie, but I have to work anyway. So I hope to go walking in the afternoon after work. ::yes::
Plus I am doing some gardening - I need to get that into shape before I leave too, so that is some different exercising!

Keep up the good work everyone!! :thumbsup2

This sounds good, but a little too extreme for what I'm after. Good luck tho!

Seems I've hit a plateau :headache:

Weight in numbers hasn't moved, have thinned out still but the scales don't show that :worried:

dont look at scales....mine say i have put on weight, but i had to go buy new work pants as mine are getting a tad too loose :thumbsup2

29 sleeps to go until i can eat SOLID FOOD:rotfl: i hate soup:stir:

I'm back from my brothers wedding in Sydney. We stayed in Chinatown. *BURP* I hate to think how off the rails I can have got in one week, the week prior I'd lost nothing and gained nothing but the last week was a bit of a write off.

I see everyone has been working on the weight. Sorry to hear there has been a few people ill and some have plateauxed, I hate it when nothing goes down for ages.

Oh my husband did lose big time on the trip to Aussie.... his wedding ring fell down the bog on the flight home. It was a very expensive bespoke one too. :( It was loose as he's run so much he's lost weight on his hands. Exercise = dangerous and expensive in the long run.

Point taken...my dh has lost nearly 12kg and has been complaining his ring is loose and wants a new one....so it's off to get one this week I think :confused3

Costly these men aren't they? Honestly do they think all this weight loss thru? No they don't! I've lost loads of kgs before and don't go losing rings down the bog. :rotfl:

Well as of yesterday I was 2.5kgs up. As of today I'm only 1kg up. Go figure.:confused3

did 5 gym classes last week...was so proud of myself..then woke up sat morning with horrible hamstring pain..i'm still limping now..and i have pump class tonight but thats not going to happen i think..i only have 24 sleeps to get pool ready:eek:

I ran 5km yesterday - the whole way, no stopping - I was very proud of myself... :goodvibes

Until this morning - oh the pain!!! Tomorrow is going to be worse!!

I've been pretty good lately. Going to the gym everyday before work for a 30 minute power walk burning 300 calories :) ... but man is my booty sore today!

magnesium....

good for sore muscles..

my hammies are still killing me, but back to gym tonight....if i can go thru childbirth x 2 then i can do this:thumbsup2

23 sleeps

I've been terrible lately. A really bad couple of weeks. My hormones are all over the place (first time I haven't been breastfeeding or pregnant in six years!), and it's messing with my head. I haven't been exercising and my diet has been less than ideal.

I'm hoping to turn things around this week. Gotta get back in the right headspace!:sad2:

We're all trying which is good :thumbsup2

21 sleeps!

Still no movement on the scales but i'm feeling good, and am pretty sure there is some shrinkage somewhere

DCL facebook update this morning showed the gym onboard, think I may spend some time there...maybe

You should measure every week Bec :thumbsup2 That's the only way I can tell if I'm doing good

I saw one of those 'Superslim' or whatever weight loss guys on the tele on the weekend and he had 5kgs of body fat to show. Wow that's a lot! I never thought 5kgs was that BIG! I should think of that next time the caramello chocolate is calling...
