Getting early check In

Hi we are planning on driving down on Sunday before Thanksgiving and knowing that you can't check in before four - can you go to the hotel and get your room key in order to use the FOTL perk? I don't want to spend my first day at the parks waiting in long lines if I am paying more than I usually do for a hotel in order to get that perk. Could someone help me with this. Thanks

Absolutely. You will get the keys right away so you can go right to the parks

Check in as early as you want. If your room is not yet ready, they will hold your luggage for you and give you a room key to use for FOTL at the parks. You can be at the gates for park opening!!

Get your magic keys early in the morning, visit the parks, come back to the hotel, and plan on swimming in the pool.
There is a 99.9% chance your room will not be ready at 3pm.
The problem, is that people checking out have been abusing the grace period, staying in their room until noon, or 1pm. Some even go so far as to self extend their stay. Many report their room is not ready until 4-5pm.
People need to check out of their room at 11am so it can be cleaned and ready for the next guest.

All you need to do is unload your luggage with the help of one of the bellhops, and then check in at the main desk. They will give you your "magic FOTL" cards for each person in your party. I always find that this step will go much more quickly if you write down the names of all of the people in your party, and put ages of kids if you are traveling with kids.

Your bags will be held behind the concierge desk, quite safely, and then you will not have to go back to your car to unload.

They will give you a ticket for your luggage, and a telephone number that you can call (usually after 3pm) to find out your room number.

Then when you go back, just tell them your room number at the concierge desk, and they will bring your bags up to you!
It is a great service!
