As always we are staying in a standard view 2 bedroom villa at Boardwalk. We used to stay in preferred but the last two years were lucky enough to get standard view. With both of our standard view rooms we got a balcony that had a view completely blocked by a huge tree. So this year I want to make a room request is hopes of avoiding that. We would also like to get a room with a balcony that has a view of the high fireworks from Illuminations. Based on this info what should I say specifically on my room request? "High floor unobstructed view facing the bus stop?" or something else? We do not care about how far we are from the elevators.
Has anyone ever had a BWV standard view where they had a good view of the illumination fireworks? if so, do you remember your room number?

. They are all listed as GV and there are very few of these rooms. W/the current construction going on, I wanted to make sure we didn't one of the rooms overlooking the pool construction. When I booked the reservation, initially, the TA that i dealt w/noted "Marina View" on the ressie but I was so nervous about it that I called back last week to add that I would like a 2nd or 3rd floor (balcony room) in 1 of 2 bldgs. During that conversation I asked if we'd able to list such requests during the online check-in process as I had been able to in the past but she said for some reason, those request do not go through when you select online check-in. She didn't know if it was a glich in the system or if Disney just did away w/that option
. In short, it wouldn't hurt to call now and have that added to your ressie.
