Getting Character Autographs and Magic Markers

Can anyone that has just been to Disney within the last few weeks confirm or deny that we can still get autographs with Markers?

My friend told me she "heard" that Disney was not allowing you to use Markers any longer and that you could only get signatures with pens. I can't believe that.

Does anyone have any first hand knowledge?

I haven't heard that, but haven't been since last Oct. hopefully someone who has been recently will let us know. I always bring washable markers just for autographs.

I haven't heard that markers have been outlawed but IMHO pens are easier to deal with. Finding the "fat" pens is easy and pens don't bleed!

I highly doubt any CM or character would turn you away for an improper writing utensil. They may strongly discourage them, but not disallow them.

We used sharpies 2 weeks ago, in fact quite a few of the characters had sharipes of their own to use. My dd had tinkerbelle sign her tink had and she didn't use dd's black sharpie but had a glitterry green one she used insead.

We were there 2 weeks ago and we got about 25 signatures. The characters signed with whatever we handed them. I am creating a book so I printed those photo cards and I had the characters sign with a slick writer so it would not smear and the where willing to use my pen - no problems!

I didn't it was true. After all I thought Sharpie was the Official Marker of Disney. I can't imagine that they would not let you use them.

We just got home from WDW on Sunday. Every character signed with either the blue (son's) or pink(daughter's) sharpie that we handed them except Captain Hook - he had his own pen that he wanted to use.

Thanks, that is what I thought! I think Disney would have a big nightmare if they banned markers, since everyone seems to bring them.
