Getting bummed about Le Cellier

We ate at Le Cellier just a few weeks ago. It is a very busy restaurant - after all it is the most popular in WDW. However, having said that, the food was amazing. In fact it was the best of our whole trip. I only wish we had eaten there more than once. It gets the thumbs up from all of us.

In one trip we ate at the Flying Fish, LeCelliar and Yachtsman. Flying Fish hands down for us! Yes, we were surprised. I'd do LeCelliar for lunch perhaps but the FF for dinner and Yachtsman as a runner up. FF has 'fancy food' while the Yachtsman had steak and 'mashed potatoes' kind of food.

I think Le Cellier has always had those that really like it and those that don't. Before we went for the first time several years ago, I read positive and negative reviews.

We''ve gone to Le Cellier at least once every trip and we've never been disappointed.

We ate there for the first time on our last trip - and it was the only place we cleaned our plates! Great food. Great place.

Busy? Uh huh...like WDW...busy.

Guess we will keep the ressie-- only right to go check it out for ourselves, and hope its not an off night. Its an early res, 5pm, so maybe itll be pre-crowd. Thanks for all the support. We are also doing Kona, CG, Citricos, an open evening of maybe EOS, and BD lunch, so Le Cellier should fit right in!

You have to remember that reviews on here are simply opinion. Opinions can be colored by mood, environment, how tired someone is, how hot, hungry, cranky they are, who they are with, etc. There have been several restaurants that recieve constant bad reviews on here that DH and I love. For example, Donald's Breakfastosaurus - we always read about how rushed people are, they characters are rushed, the food isn't good, etc. It is one of our favorites, and we have eaten there several times with NONE of those experiences. You have to decide what you want to try on your own. Opinions help, but shouldn't completely decide for you. We went to LeCellier in April, and it was excellent. Yes, it is crowded, but that is just the nature of the restaurant and how it is set up. It is a small restaurant as well. The food is excellent, the service is great, the ambience is nice. It is a long meal, but a great meal. You should try it if you want...stay excited and go for it. Don't let negative opinions change what you want to do.

We just ate here last month, and everyone loved it so much that we switched things around so that we could go back 2 days later on my bday. (lucky we got a reservation!) It was wonderful both times in every way possible!

Good to see time travel is alive and well at Walt Disney World... even outside the attractions! :rotfl2:
I was hoping nobody noticed. I guess I listen to way to much Art Bell in the old days!

Our trip is early November, coming up. :woohoo: I planned and made my ADRs at the 180 mark. Have been looking forward to Le Cellier alot, especially the filet and risotto---and now Im getting bummed==its been getting bad reviews lately it seems. Too crowded, food not so great, different menu. Starting to wonder if I should bail and go to...??? Flying Fish? Boatwrights? Yachtsmans? :confused3

I just ate dinner there for the 2nd time this past August. I had a great meal both times.

We ate there last week and my Fiance said it was his favorite meal of the week. He ordered the 7oz. filet and it was cooked to perfection. I ordered the mushroom filet cooked to medium, just as he requested, and my steak was well done. I was disappointed with how the filet was prepared, but overall the meal was still very good. If you like steak, I would keep the ADR. The pretzel bread is really good and the creme brulee and sorbet desserts were delicious also. The steak we had at other restaurants during the week were not as good as Le Cellier.
