Have any of you ever gotten up early and went to your resorts food court to get everyones breakfast in thier PJs. I mean decent PJs, not the one for my husband or anything. I am thinking about doing this in September and I just wonder if I would get any reactions around 6:30 in the morning?

I wouldn't do it - I mean, how hard is it to throw on a pair of sweats or yoga pants and a t-shirt?

I have seen people do it, but it's not something I would do. I usually would throw on some sweat pants and a t-shirt. Sorry, just can't do the PJ thing. Now have I gone through the Starbucks drive through window in my PJ's, yes. But that's different!:confused3

I'm another who wouldn't do it. Why? Throw on some shorts and a tee or tank shirt and off you go. I don't think anyone's pjs are so important that they need to show them off to everyone! I've seen kids wear them to school - a good reason for dress codes. Clothes are clothes. Pjs are for bed. Sorry just my opinion.

I've seen it done lots of times real early in the morning. People wear their pjs all time anymore. Their pjs were a tank and shorts and they had thrown flip flops on. To be honest they were better dressed than some of the people going to the parks that day!!! ;) As long as you're decent and you've got shoes on i don't see the big deal.

Would you run to your neighborhood IHOP in your PJs to pick up breakfast for the family? I think not. Seems rather lazy to me. I can't remember which resort we were at when we saw this. I thought the man doing it looked like a slob. Flannel plaid pj bottoms belong at home, not at the mall or the college classroom or the food court.

Please get dressed in your clothes before you head to the food court or store.

I agree with above.
Jammies? Maybe for the 3 years and under set. Otherwise, please wear some clothes.
It's Florida. It takes, maybe 10 minutes to brush your teeth, throw on a t-shirt and shorts, slip on some flip flops, and you'll be all set.

I haven't, but would have no problem with it. I've seen people do it and didn't bother me at all. I'm at Disney on vacation, why would I care what your wearing.

If other people see me in my PJ's just walking down the hallway toward the ice machine I get a little embarrassed.

I mean, I'll still do it... but, go to a food court ?

Not for me.

I'm sure the PJs you're considering are cute, Disney and decent (and probably look much better on you than some people can ever dream of looking in sweats and a t-shirt)....SO GO FOR IT!

You can't look near as bad as the girl I stood behind in line at Mouse Gear one night with her blue thong underwear purposely showing for the world to see. (see my TR link below in my signature--although the DIS made me remove the picture b/c it wasn't "decent" enough for the forums...although I had to endure it in public:lmao: )

I don't know about the food courts but the cs at WL didn't open until 7am and even then it took another 10 min for them to get the food out. The registers were just getting started at 7 and they only had 1 for the first 20 minutes and the line was getting very long. I don't think I would want to standing there in my pjs that long, but thats me.

No I wouldn't do it. I can't see how spending a couple of minutes putting on sweats or a pair of shorts will dampen the day.

As a matter of fact, I got so sick of seeing young girls in pj's at the food courts (I think it was at Pop Century during some cheerleading compettion). I thought it looked tacky and I wouldn't let my daughter do it. I saw a woman at my pediatrician in her pj's recently and was just flabbergasted. And I know that is a whole different thing but then again, is it? The receptionist and nurse burst out laughing when she left.

Its an informal food court for sure. But to me it is still a public place and therefore wearing clothes, not nightwear is the way to go.

I personally wouldn't do it, but that's because I use a nightgown. :)

But to be honest, with some of the clothes and some of the PJ's today, it's sometimes hard to tell which is which!! So I guess I can't make a general statement since it would depend on what the PJ's looked like. :confused3

Although I really don't care what others are wearing anyway. Like another poster said, as long as you are decent I guess it wouldn't matter. I've seen some people who were dressed for the day and it would almost be better if they'd put their PJ's back on! :rotfl:
