Getting BOG is ridiculous

I can't even find a ressie for a party of 1...I'm so over it!!

I am going in July 2016 and booked all my ADRs back in Jan. I had no issues getting hard to book places. (BOG, Ohana). i was surprised how easy it was to make them this time.

Now It was a different story for our Sept 2015. We were online at 6am on 180 mark and had limited availability probably because of free dining.

So needless to say it was nice this time not having to stress over making ADRs because so much was available.

I can't get a BOG dinner for Sept. I don't understand why the hours for dinner are only 4-6 pm.

We really like lunch at BOG, last time we went it was under a FP not reservation and I didn't realize it had changed until I had to call this week to make our ADRs (since MDE was down) and when I booked CRT the CM asked me if I wanted to book BOG too and then I found out about lunch ADRs so booked it no problem.

According the CM (which who know really) it has trumped CRT as THE ADR to get.

I'm sure some lunches will open, here's hoping you snag one.

Today was my 180 and right at 6 am I booked California Grill and then BOG because I worried they would be the hardest to get. Especially since we have 6 people in our group. I've never had that many before. Was able to get both on the days and times we wanted. I was shocked and excited.

Always keep checking as people's plans change. We are a party of 5 and going in June, nothing has been available for BOG at breakfast since we started planning a month or so back which was actually inside of our 180 day mark. Then this week I was able to grab a pre park opening ADR at BOG. I have seen several more but not days we can use them.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but I would recommend following the cancellation thread of the month you're going. That's how I got dinner reservations on Memorial Day weekend last year. I coordinated with another Dis-er and it was very easy.

September is usually free dining time so it's a lot harder to get reservations then. Or at least hat was my experience last year.

Which I can understand BUT it only has 2 hours open for dinner the whole month. I KNOW that this isn't the case so I don't get what's happening?!

For my entire 10 days I can get every other restaurant, and I mean EVERY other restaurant. At all good times. BOG lunch at good times, breakfast too. Just not dinner.

We booked our resort after the 180 day mark...but only by a few weeks and I still can't get a BOG reservation for lunch. I feel like CRT was so much easier to get on our last trip. I've checked several times a week since November and now I've ramped it up to several times a day...still nothing! I'm sure that there will be cancellations the day before, but I'd rather not be searching for it in the middle of our trip.

Has anyone not been able to get one for their trip??
Ever since they starting offering breakfast here, I've never really had a problem booking lunch. I actually just cancelled my reserve here for my May trip. If I have to have QS in MK, this is where I go because I really don't care for the other options that much. Lately I've been trying to schedule TS or QS for lunch at one of the MK resorts as a break midday from the park. As PPs have indicated, if you really want BOG, just keep trying. Good luck!

Maybe they are going to introduce a new "extra special" after hours hard ticket event like the early morning one that includes dinner at BOG.

Ha! It would be funny if not so close to the truth!

I loved my last BOG dinner but not enough to stress any more. We have a rental car. There are places we can go. I am not one to stalk reservations. Never had to do it before. I'll try again in a month or so. If I get dinner, great. If not I'm sure I can find a wine bar in the area with wine equal or better than bog's private label. Most likely better. And by not releasing more time slots Disney will loose a couple who did spend quite a lot at dinner. I'm sure they well be so very broken up over the loss :)

I've managed to bag dinner at BOG on the last day of my trip but can't get dinner for the first day. I've been able to get lunch bit that's not what I want really.

I'll keep trying bit the limited dinner hours help explain why ADRs are limited

It is just not worth the stress. We spend a ton on dining every trip-we just got home two weeks ago from a 12 day stay-just my daughter and I on her spring break-and for the two of us it was just under $2500 for dining alone!!! Next year, she will turn 21 during our trip and the plan has always been for her to have her first cocktails at the different parks and our favorite restaurants. With all of the changes, especially earlier park closings, I can totally see us taking cabs to the steakhouse at The Four Seasons, etc. instead of loyally dining only in Disney every single night as we have done every trip for the past 14. My husband has been over Disney for a few years now so he and our son take a boys trip every year instead. I am kind of afraid to tell him about all of these changes because he will really try to convince me it is not worth it and that we should have our girls trip elsewhere and as time goes by I have to say I have less and less evidence to the contrary!

Another option is to sign up for Touring Plans, they have an ADR finder. I use it often with great results.
I've considered signing up, but can you explain what their ADR finder is like, and how the ADR finder is any different from the one on the Disney website? I'm actually pleasantly surprised how nice the Disney website is for all these reservations!

I'm actually following it...just not a lot of activity over there, especially not in the last few days.
