How Late does the Express and Resort monorails run during Mickeys Not So Scary Parties?

I have been hearing conflicting information that the monorail stops running at 10:30 pm and then you either have to take a ferryboat or bus back to the Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian.

Can somebody who was just at a MNSSP party advise on how they got back to
their resort after the party and how were the crowds waiting for the transportation?

Thanks

We were at the first party this year and we took the boat back to the Poly at about 1am. The monorail was still running. No crowds at that point.

It’s probabaly been conflicting b/c it can change especially since the monorail breaks a lot. If the monorail is not running, there are ferry boats to Poly, GF & TTC. There are no buses to any of these resorts. There is no other way to Contemporary except to walk unless you use the Minnie Van, but that’s 1/2 way or more to the Contemporary so probably kind of pointless.

The monorails have absolutely not been closing at 10:30PM for any party this year.

Here's a link to this week's Times Guide, just for reference: http://www.orlandoparksnews.com/p/weekly-walt-disney-world-times-guides.html

Published monorail hours are until 1AM on each party night this week.

Make sure to pick up a Times Guide for when you are there just to confirm hours.

Transportation alternatives would be the normal options... Resort Launch to GF/Poly. Resort launch to WL/FW. Ferry to TTC. Buses to all other resorts. Depends on where you want to go.

FWIW, I went to both Thursday and Friday parties last week. Stayed at Poly and took the resort monorail back both times. One time was 11:30ish, the other 12ish. Both were totally easy with no waits at all. Monorails were quick/efficient.

Parties tend to unload in a somewhat staggered manner so you don't really have crazy rushes leaving, generally speaking.

If the monorail, ferries, and hotel boats are not running, there will be buses to the monorail resorts, even if those are down due to unscheduled issues. They are like the marines; they don't leave a man behind;) However, if there is an unexpected breakdown, there could be some wait. Despite what people think, they do run buses to the monorail resorts for MK and Epcot, when the monorail is down, scheduled or unscheduled. I have actually ridden on those buses from the Poly:(

Soniam is absolutely correct. We, too, have had to take buses from both the Poly and GF to both the MK and EPCOT when the monorail is down. This past February it was everyday during our stay at the Poly.
