I'm wondering what is the easiest way to get from the Magic Kingdom to the Beach Club after Wishes? We will have a rental car and can park it somewhere if that will be more convenient. Or I could use Disney transportation the whole way. We will have a 15 month old and stroller in tow if that means anything. What do you suggest?

Hi..........I just returned from a trip to WDW staying at the Wilderness lodge. With our rental car, this gave us 3 forms of transportation to consider when going to the MK, the other two being bus and water taxi. Please note that all 3 ways were extremely crowded when leaving after the fireworks. Like you mentioned, you can either take the WDW bus or the monorail to the Ticket and Transportation center to then have to walk to your car. I think the decision will end up being a crap shoot. We chose the bus to get back to the Wilderness lodge as we did not drive to the MK and the line for the boat was very long. When we got to the bus pick up area, there was only one other couple waiting for the wilderness lodge bus, however, the line for the Animal Kingdom lodge was ridiculously long. Would you believe that the people at the end of the Animal Kingdom lodge when I entered the wait area for the Wilderness Lodge actually got on their bus before a bus came for us! It all depends on where the volume of people are and who the bus dispatcher assigns the buses to. We really thought we would be back at the lodge within a few minutes but ended up waiting there for about 1/2 hour. Go figure. All in all though, the bus transportation is pretty reliable and I think it would be better than having to wait in the monorail line and then having to walk to your car and then have to drive back to the beach club. Hope that helps.........J from J

No car option and depending on mood of child in stroller....

;) option 1: avoid the crowds - go to the Main Street Bake Shop, have a snack and wait for the crowds to thin out. Then take the B/C bus back to the resort.

;) option 2: depending on when Wishes ends and the hours of EPCOT.
Talk the monorail from MK to TTC - transfer to EPCOT monorail.
Stroll through EPCOT to the World - stick to the right side towards Canada, Unitd Kingdom and France - head for the boats to the resorts.
Take a nice boat ride back to the Beach Club.

;) option 3: pay for a taxi, about $15, but would be best for a tired, cranky child. Ask at City Hall when you first get to MK were to get a taxi after Wishes.

Our best option, and best use of time, is to go to the Main Street Bakery and wait for the crowds to thin out. But that is what our family likes to do.
Do what is best for your family.

Enjoy :)

Hmmm...I like the Main Street Bake Shop suggestion. Is anything else open for a snack at that time or will everyone have the same great idea as me? :)

To add to Pooh2001's idea..depending on where in the Beach Club you are, you may be better off by simply walking directly to your room. The boat from the International Gateway at the rear of Epcot does stop near the Beach Club but it actually goes past most of the rooms. The dock is situated between the Yacht and Beach Clubs.

I would guess that EPCOT is closed at the time Wishes is over. Maybe I am wrong on that. Anyway, I feel a car at MK is inconvenient, with having to deal with trams to the cars, and ferry or monorail to get to the cars. I have always had luck with the buses. You could also take a BW bus or S/D bus, depending on how they have them dispatched, sometimes they are all combined, and it is not too long a walk from either. And you get to see some BW entertainment.

Pooh2001 has got the right idea!!!

Take your time getting out. Step away from the hordes and masses (I think it's kinda scary in the middle of the horde anyway) and relax. Take your time getting down mainstreet and to the bus stops. I wouldn't bother with the car. I don't think you can do a cab, either, as the toddler needs to be in a carseat. Take your time, grab a snack, and let the teeming hordes file out before you.

Absolutely take your time after Wishes. We did this in June. We just took a seat near the castle and watched the people pour down Main Street to the exits. After 20 minutes or so we took a slow walk out of the park. Everything was peacful at the bus station we when got there. Just take the bus back to your resort. So nice to sit or stroll around the MK at night.
ps......While we were leaving the MK that night I heard Mickey saying good-bye to us. Thought it was just a recording until I turned around and saw him up on the train station with a light on him waving to us as we exited. What a nice touch that was!
