Hi

First visit to DL in October this year. DH dislocated ankle and fractured leg resulting in pins and plates. He is still walking on 1 crutch. I've heard it's quite steep in parts of the parks, is this correct?

TIA

It's not steep--there's a bit of a hill near ToonTown and It's a Small World, but it can be easily avoided by taking different routes.

I would rent a wheelchair for him--it would make your day (and HIS) much easier. :thumbsup2

I do not remember any route being very steep and there are always alternative ways to go.

Get that poor man an ECV! Crutching around the park all day would be sooo tiring. We went last year, two weeks after DHs knee surgery and he was still using crutches. There is no way he would have been able to make it with out the ECV.

I think he's going to need a wheelchair or an ECV. It really does get kinda steep in front of Splash and on down to Pooh's Corner. There's also a bit of a hill going in/out of Toon Town. And unfortunately, there are no alternative routes to these two locations.

In addition, the queue for Indiana Jones, in particular the exit queue, is rather sloped (going downhill) and long.

Also, the outside queue of Pirates is a ramp/hill, the queue on Big Thunder Mountain goes downhill (and then you would need to go up steps to get to the loading platform), the inside queue for Space Mountain is a hill, you'll need to go down and up a ramp/steps to get in and out of It's a Small World.

I really would get an ECV or a wheelchair for him.

awh thanks everyone for your replies!

might be a good idea as i usually drag him round all 47 square miles of WDW on a daily basis every year!! So he'll definetly need a rest!!

Yep, get an ECV. there is a place right across the street from the park called scooter village and there pretty cheap. ( far cheaper then the park)
