I will be renting a car when we are at Disney (doing side trips) and wondering if there is a charge to park at resorts so that we can visit as many resorts as possible. Sometimes we will be dining there otherwise just visiting. Thanks for any info

There's no charge to park at resorts. Commonly they'll give you a three-hour parking pass so you can eat or just check out the resort. If things are very slow they may not give you a time limit. If things are incredibly busy, they sometimes close the resort parking lot for everyone who's not a guest, but that's rare.

One thing to know is that if you pay for valet parking once at one resort, it's good for valet parking at any resort for the whole day. So if you spend a day resort hopping, you can valet park everywhere for one price. You still should tip the valets at each place, but that's just a couple bucks or so. Also, if you valet park you have no time limit, and I would guess you'll never be locked out during busy times.

Actually not so rare for the MK & Epcot resorts. They're usually restricted to overnight guests & guests with dining reservations during holiday periods and during special events (conventions, F&W & F&G for Epcot). Possibly also during summer peak.

Good to know! It's never happened to me, but I've never been there during peak periods.

Thank you so much for the info. Great to know about the valet parking. May try that. Does anyone know how much it costs? We will be there Sept 9-15 so I don't think the crowds will be bad. :drive:

$15/day plus tips. I usually tip $2 or so to the person who brings the car when we come back.
