Getting a W2 from a closed business?????

My DS worked at a restaurant for almost all of 2010. The place went out of business before the year 2010 was over, and now he needs his W2 from them for taxes. How do we get it? Have heard nothing from the company/owner. What do we do??? Any ideas?

I know there's a form that can be filed for a missing W2. I would assume he would need the information off his last pay stub, but I'm honestly not sure.

You may not get one, the closed company may not file. However they do have until the end of January to process and mail so I would not do much of anything until early February.
I would see if you can track down your sons final pay stub so that you have wages etc.

Thanks. Just nervous and worrying that since the guys business closed, he'll just not do any follow-through for former employees.
