I am looking to rent a car, for 1 day to go to Sea World. We need a mini van because there are 4 adults and 2 children. Also we will need a car seat for the 1 year old and a booster seat for a 4 year old.
The best price I can get with the car seats is $81.38, without the car seats the price would be $20 less, but we need the car seats.
I am wondering if it would be cheaper to use a van service from Tiffany or other transportation service instead of the rental. Although the rental would give us more flexability.

The Car Care Ctr is managed by Alamo. You can check different codes for discouts at MouseSavers here:

I believe there is a National desk at the Swan or Dolphin.

If a car service cost is around that amount, then probably the mini van rental is your best bet, in terms of convenience. I don't think the car service cost will be lower than those $81. (Though I could be wrong... it has happened before :) )

The $81 cost is using the codes from mousesavers, the cost is higher than just the daily rental due to having to get 2 car seats. I did check Dollar and they are actually $20 cheaper and their price includes the car seats.
Dollar has a shuttle like Alamo, so for $20.00 I think I'll go with Dollar.

I was going to suggest the Lynx bus too. For the family of 6, you'd be looking at $ 9.00 total and I have personally heard nothing but good reviews. It's cheap, safe and clean.

Their website is golynx.com if you are interested.

If you are set on the one day van rental option, I think that's probably the best you are going to do. I might keep checking as your date gets closer just in case of any last-minute deals. Getting a car service will be much more expensive than the van rental.

We've hired Sunray Transportation to take us to SeaWorld in May...$60 plus tip. Didn't want to fuss w/renting a car or the public bus. We'll have a van because we have 2 adults and 3 kids...car seats are included in the $60. I believe the van can fit 10 people. We just wanted a more direct ride w/o stopping at other resorts (like Mears coach) or having to take disney transportation to the TTC and then wait for Lynx bus. If the kids were older we'd probably do that but for right now...I'd rather have direct transportation - not a lot of waiting around.

Good Luck!! This is what we plan on doing when we go in May.:cool1:

If it were adults I would not mind, but my nephew is 4 and my neice is just a 1 and 1/2 I'd rather not try the bus to Sea World.
