Getting a Discount with a Perner Number???

A friend of mine works at Disney World. My family is planning a vacation for there in March, and my friend told me I can use her perner number to get a discount on our trip. Does anyone know how to do this? Do I just give them her number when I call to book the trip? Is the discount good for park admission and the resorts? Thanks!!!

The Cast Member must make the reservation online through The Hub using the "Friends and Family" rate.

Discount varies depending on which resort and when you're going and a whole host of other variables. It's not a standard "X% off" kind of thing.

Discount is for room nights only; does not include admission. You need to purchase those seperately.

I believe it is absolutely prohibited for the cast member to give someone else that information so they can make the booking themselves - the cast member must make the booking. I don't think it's possible for anyone other than the cast member to make that sort of booking.

Something else your friend may not be aware of ... once she makes the reservation, she will also need to present her ID at the front desk of the resort either prior to you checking in or when you check in. Otherwise, they will charge you rack rate.

The ID can be faxed over prior to your arrival, but if they haven't verified the CM ID connected to the reservation, they won't give you that rate.

And yes ... to TDC Nala's point above ... a CM can't simply hand you their Perner, as you (as a non-CM) do not have access to the "cast reservations" system.
