So any tips of getting one of those big round tables at EG? We will be a party of six so we might just be ideal group number for one?

Do you mean the round booths pictured below? If so, six would be a tight squeeze. At best 4 people (with 2 of those kids). We had one of them once and it was the most uncomfortable seating ever. They look cool though. Of course that was our experience. I am sure many love them.

As far as getting one....you can request one through your travel agent or Disney directly depending on how you booked. Never guaranteed.

Well you are right. Those will be a no go. Oh well.

We had four of us at one of those. Two were teens. It was fine, but I wouldn't want to put anyone else in the booth with us.

The teacups are 4-tops and even that is a tight fit. We hate those tables for many reasons. Since the three of us usually sail Concierge, they always think they are doing us a big favour by assigning us there. Therefore, our usual table request on Dream/Fantasy is ‘anywhere but a teacup in EG’

We always trip on the small step, there’s not enough place for all the plates in a course and the bread basket, so they always are moving plates around or taking away our water bottle. Half the table needs to get up when someone needs to go to the restroom. The tablecloth is so long that you always risk leaving with it. You can’t see what going on around the room and can only look at what’s going on at the teacup on the other side, which can be both boring and embarrassing.

We had one as a party of 5. Even though the kids were small (8 & 10-ish) it was tight. Great fun for the novelty, but very cramped

We had one of those tables for our 5 day on the Dream. Cool looking table but good thing our kids were still young. Kind of like imagining 4 chairs places around a round night stand. Ideally they could have a smaller footprint on the seating and be made for 2-3 people.

They are better to look at than to sit at.

If anyone in your party is a person of size, even fitting 3 is difficult.

It was a total surprise on our last cruise to get the teacup tables. I can definitely confirm that it is tight and a bit awkward as you have to shimmy around it with four people seated at the table. It was a total blast on our 7-night and a major highlight. We did not request the teacups and I wonder how many people request them.

We ate at one for breakfast (or lunch) one trip just DH and I. I found it uncomfortable because you can't move the seat. You are stuck where you are. I hope to never be assigned to one for dinner.

We had one with just DH and I and at first I was really excited. After the first dinner I never want to be in those things again. My opinion is that they are the worst seats in the house. I agree with all of the other posters comments.
